Easy fight for Nate. Josh hasn't looked his best in a few years.

Thats pretty sad to say considering I and many more thought he actually beat Melendez who is fighting for the title. I actually think Josh takes this fight I think he is the more versatile fighter who as long as he fights smart can mix it up and take Diaz down enough to steal a decision.

No idea how good Josh Thomson is.
Hopefully not so good so I get some points in the NPFFL?

He had some injuries that really set him back. He didn't fight at all in 2011 due to injures but he looked good in both his fights since then. He beat KJ Noons convincingly and gave Melendez a hell of a fight.
But I have always thought it was a matchup problem for Melendez. Kind of like KJ Noons is a tough matchup for Nick Diaz. Lesser fighters might matchup better with them but they give those guys hell for whatever reason.

Guess I might have to watch his fights with Melendez. I really need Nate to win since I'm already lagging behind in the NPFFL.
Thanks for the info.

Yeah his fights with Melendez are all battles. The majority of people that saw the 3rd fight felt Thompson won. I was hoping Thompson would get someone like Cerrone because I think he would win that matchup. But Nate might be too much for him.

I think like one writer...MMAJunkie's which is known to be laughable at judging had Thomson beating Melendez...and from polls I've seen around 70 percent had Melendez winning.
I had Melendez winning 48-47

Wow that's not what I saw at all on the web. It was at best 50/50. Everywhere I went it was favoring Thompson.

I misread the title and honestly thought it said Diaz vs. James Thompson. I bet Nick would still take it
Anyways I really like this fight, should be fun. I see Diaz taking a 3 round decision but not as easy as I bet the odds will reflect.
