Level of interest/hype in Aldo/Edgar.
Is it just me or is this fight not getting the love it should? I know Edgar lost the belt but many including me felt he beat Ben the second time out, but we constantly about hear about Anderson vs. GSP/Jones, Cain vs. Jones but we have an actual superfight coming up and it doesn't seem like it's getting the amount of press it should get, this is an extremely big fight but it's being treated like your average main event when it's anything but.
Anyone else feel the same way?

I'm excited whenever Aldo fights. I have nothing against Edgar, he seems like someone I would love to train and chill with but I don't necessarily like his fighting style and personally I think Aldo with chop his legs down. Only chance I see Edgar is trying to wrestle and control. But Aldo has good TDD and pops back up usually so I see this ending badly for Edagr.

If Edgar would have still been champion, this fight would probably have the attention that you would have liked. However, since technically he is no longer the best lightweight because he lost of Benson, this isn't as big a deal as it could've been.
But in many peoples eye's, this event still has the super fight aura. I certainly feel that way.

No. Everyone seems pumped for this one. I don't know why though. The fight itself won't be that good. Either Aldo gets an early KO or he'll gas and get jabbed for 25 minutes.

Where is all of this evidence that Aldo gasses? 5th round of the Hominick fight?
He doesn't have Diaz or Edgar cardio. But everyone acts as if it is a huge problem. Aldo isn't getting jabbed for 5 rounds. If he loses it will be via striking/wrestling and Edgar being fresher later. When was the last bad fight Edgar was in? When was the last bad Aldo fight we saw? Put the 2 together with clashing styles and championship pedigree and I don't know how you could expect it to be anything less than great.

You have to consider the fighter they're facing as well. When was the last time we've seen JDS gas in just the 1st round? Never. Velasquez pushed a pace he couldn't handle. Granted Edgar isn't as active as Velasquez, but he has gassed fighters out in the past.
I, of course, exaggerated when I said Aldo will just get jabbed for 25 minutes, but I don't see it being this exciting fight everyone is making it out to be. It's not like these two are gonna go to war. Edgar is fighting one of the most dangerous strikers in the UFC. He's going to be extra cautious this time around. He'll probably use a gameplan similar to Florian's, just more effective at it.
When was the last time I saw Edgar in a bad fight? His very last one. Henderson vs Edgar 2. One of the worst fights I've seen in recent memory.

I'm actually more interested in Overeem fighting. I want to see Rashad fight too.
I'm not to excited about the Edgar fight because Frankie Edgar seems to fight in a way that he hopes to win by just "out-pointing" the other guy. If the fight has good pace and Aldo does some crazy finish I will be happy tho.

There is always a lack of interest on every fight that takes place below 155. Now that Benson Henderson is 155 champion; interest there is waning as well. I do not share any of thes opinions I am just making an observation.
