It's definitely a step in the right direction.
I never understood how official rankings would fix anything. Rankings aren't going to fix a party's wrongs when the party itself is responsible for making the rankings in the first place...

It really depends on who they rank where.

Are they going to rank Chael number 2 with no wins at 205 in years over Rashad and Hendo who are pretty much unanimously ranked at 2 or 3 depending on which site you go to? Are they gonna put him ahead of Gus and Machida who are four and five imo, and then will they put him above the Glover, Davis, Shogun, and Bader's of 205?

If they do, their rankings are pretty much a joke and shouldn't be taken seriously. I like Chael but you can't rank him ahead of Rashad, Hendo, Gus, Machida, Glover, Davis, Shogun, or Bader with no wins at 205 in years.
