I didn't indicate whether I agreed or disagreed. I just found it ironic that someone would say they don't like any religious people due to their ignorance. If you can't see the irony in that statement I'm not sure trying to explain it to you is worth my time.

You seem to imply that it is ignorant to dislike someone based on their ignorance. Well I disagree. If it wasn't for religious people spreading lies in the world we would all be a lot better off. So I don't like people who support religion. It's that simple

I'm not interested in arguing religion on an MMA website, especially with someone who appears to have already made up their mind.

However, I would like you to cite one example in all of human history of a society that was a Utopia because there was no belief in a higher power. Usually when there is an absence of religion we get nifty situations like Stalinist-era Soviet Union. Got any good examples to support your claims?

If the guy really has that faith in his God, do you think he really cares what "bad thing" could happen to him by merely expressing himself?
I would like to think that a grown man with a family would care about his job enough to ignore selfish pride. But then again, maybe it's my turn to take off my rose colored glasses in this case.

So leave them do it.
Oh I have.

They can do whatever the hell they want so long as none of them bother me with their shit again.

So how exactly these wars were fought if religion is not a collective thing? Lots of one man armies each one defending his particular view? Why there are temples or churches for if it´s not collective?
The wars and hitsory itself prove my point. No religion is collective and religion as a whole CERTAINLY is not collective otherwise there would have been no conflict. Christianity has so many different denomonations and practices, that even they fight amongst themselves. And it's not just Christianity either. There may be collectivism within certain sects of the community, but there is really no large scale collectivism when it comes to religion.

And this is just a political and hypocritic way to sell products to all religions or non believers using a covered Christian celebration. Show me the money, no matter what you believe...
That's the world we live in.
Get paid, and get laid.

You are starting the shitstorm. And yourself has the power to stop this by slowly growing tolerace in your heart. I have worked in the Far East and in the Middle East along people who believe in many different things and I have seen all sort of public displays of faith, includind people starving in a fast during Ramadan or kneeling in public to praise their Gods and I called many of those people friends.
Let people be as long as they are not trying to hurt you.
Bahahah. What shitstorm am I starting other than a friendly debate in a thread on an MMA-related website? I don't go out and publicly ridicule religious people or anything and I've never been outwardly antagonistic towards religion. I just simply don't believe in any theistic, omnipotent being. All I'm saying is that Henderson's public expressions of faith could be bad for business (and himself), if he's not careful.

I can think of lots of places that are defacto non-religious like Scandinavian countries and New Zealand. Of course some people still are religious in these places virtually nobody lives by religion.

Don't bring up the Soviet Union unless you would like me to bring down a gigantic list of horrific atrocities committed by the opposite side.

The countries you cite are in no way absent of religion. You can verify that yourself through research, you don't have to believe me. And I'm sorry if I struck a nerve by mentioning the Soviet Union. It is well documented that Stalin killed more people than any other leader in modern history in an effort to stamp out all opposition, religion included. These aren't my opinions, they are documented facts. Anyway, I respect your right to hate if you choose. I'm sure Jesus still loves you. :0)

I think it would be awesome if a fighter came out post fight and said "I'd like to thank Science for giving me the opportunity to realise that Religion is a tool used to brainwash the masses."

I don't like Bendo because of the vibe he gives off and his ignorant comment about smokers.

I don't like Bendo because I feel he's not just religious, but that he's confrontational and aggressive about it.

And also because he calls someone racist on his Twitter more or less every day.

That's two things I really despise about anyone, and Bendo does both.

Everytime I go into this subject, it's hard to convince even myself I am not defending Bendo's beliefs, but the fact is I do not share his views at all, but I started not to bother as it is unecessary waste of my energy.

No, it's not going to be bad to his business or UFC business he is expressing his views. Lots of soccer players around the world entitle themselves as Christ Players and still make milions.
Those things won't prevent someone to go after what they believe is right for them.
Ever heard of a guy called Cassius Clay, who became Muhammad Ali? All his rants and political views and religious sharp turns didn't take his legacy away, right?

Life is a learning experience that doesn't stop at 26 unless you dictate that to yourself. Make no mistake, I am learning from you right now and hopefully I'll still be learning after pushing 80's.
