What does Weidman have that suggest he will beat Silva and not be another hyped up opponent to sell ppvs.

Where is anyone saying he's the 'chosen one' and will beat Anderson?
MW needs a contender. Some are simply suggesting Weidman, who looked very good in his destruction of Mark Munoz. People who claim he beat a 'fat' Munoz are simply going overboard to discredit the win. Munoz was taken out of that fight so quickly that we hardly had time to gauge what shape he was in. As for the Maia fight, anyone with half a brain knows that Weidman cut a ridiculous amount of weight on essentially a week's notice. He'd never gassed in a previous fight, nor has he gassed since... it's very plausible that the extreme weight cut in 11 days hurt his performance.
I hate this 'what has such and such done' attitude. It's absolute BS. What has anyone at MW done to show us that they can take out Anderson Silva? Should we just retire the MW championship because the odds are good that Anderson will never be defeated?
