I wouldn't even put Saff in my top ten I don't think. Not yet.

1. Matt Brown is beneath the guys he's lost to (Seth, Kim), he's on a good roll but he hasn't really beaten any established guys yet.

2. Erick Silva who I am still high on but he lost to Fitch (who lost to Maia) and he doesn't have that big win yet that puts him on the map.

3. Kym, the big issue I have with Stun Gun is that not that he lost to top talent but he lost to top talent in devastating fashion. I believe he has an Okami style run in him but I'm betting on Siyar.

Now why is Siyar high in my rankings, partly like Maia and TJ Grant since dropping down in weight he hasn't just won he's dominated. Also I respect Paulo Thiago tremendously and while I don't think of him as a top ranked fighter finishing him gets a lot of points in my eyes.

Woodly decisioned Saffedine, Marquardt knocked Woodley out, while Saffedine wrecked Marquardt. They aren't that far apart in the rankings as Tarec/Nate/Woodley could all rise together. Also Saffedine is on the better roll.

Stun Gun has beat tough guys, i see him around 15 or so. He dominated Paulo Thiago. I still don't count the Maia loss because it was a freak accident.

He has some great wins, that's why I rank him ahead of Thiago Alves and Dan Hardy but... he was finished twice in his last four fights. Also he outwrestled Paulo which is good but that's Paulo weakness, Siyar walked through him. At the end of the day I believe Siyar is going to KO him in the first and that is another reason why he is ranked ahead of him.

Maia has taken down and subbed Chael in 2 minutes. GSP is not out of danger.

I see where you are coming from. Paulo got out grappled, he's a good BJJ guy and Stun Gun made him look like a blue belt.

I think Stun Gun is going to do the same with Siyar on the ground. Though Siyar is dangerous either way.

My thoughts are I don't understand what Rory is trying to accomplish.

Hendricks obviously deserves it if he wins. If he loses then just give it to Maia.

I think he's trying to accomplish a pay check and he's ready to step into the title picture when/if GSP loses. It's the same thing with Miletich/Newton/Hughes.

Paulo's been outwrestled by most, the other thing to consider, Siyar beats Stun Gun he gets a top ten guy, Stun Gun beats Siyar he gets someone else near him in the rankings. Siyar is someone who is going to be in the title mix quicker than Kym.

Tarec has the SF belt, he's got some leverage on his side due to it and it should get him a big name just like with Gil and Rockhold.

If GSP loses he will be right back in the title picture. The UFC wouldn't be able to stand their biggest star not holding a belt.

1 basically has to move to 185 if both are going to take on top 5 guys. And Rory is bigger than GSP. He is taller by a couple inches and is still filling out.

But they are both scared of Anderson Silva.

I just don't think it is a good move by the UFC to have Rory knock off top 5 guys if it is never going to amount to wanting a title shot.

Cormier is a top 3 HW. Yet he is willing to drop all the way to 205 because his guy is champ. Shields went to 185 when Diaz started running 170 in SF. I feel like Machida and Anderson have a mutual understanding of not being in the same division as they are both elite fighters.

Just seems like if Rory beats Condit....then what? He beats Maia? Then what? I guess they could just give him guys that lose to GSP.
