What do you guys think is next for him? Will he be cut? Will they give him one more fight? Who would you want him to fight?
For me I really hope they keep him around. Though he will never touch the title, he is a good mid level guy. They could give him Che Mills/Riddle winner or Pascal Krauss

I think he gets one last kick at the can. With the exception of Goulet way back in the day, he's fought really, really tough dudes in the UFC (GSP,Ellenburger,Woodley). On top of that, they've all been really bad match-ups for him. The UFC brass must realize that. Then again, he's getting old and there's really nowhere to go for him but down. His ceiling has already been reached. Still a tough fight for most, though.

He really was never that good. Mediocre striking and brittle chin...that's it. It really makes you wonder. You can be slow and powerful, but will have issues against quicker opponents. You can be quick, but never win by KOs cuz you don't have the power; Edgar. You can have a sturdy chin, put on great shows and never win a belt; Lytle, Diego Sanchez.
You can have the physique, striking, grappling, but weak chin; Arlovski even though he did win the belt before. He could be so much better though.
Everything has to come together to make a solid MMA fighter and even more so for a champion. It's really crazy how far the competition has come.

He's had his better days, he could beat the up and comers all day long, but he's never gonna get a title run. UFC may keep him around for one more but I highly doubt that happening

He's 0-4 in the UFC overall in his MMA career. Probably the best guy to have fought in the UFC, but never win. He has decent wins outside of the promotion, but he just can't seem to win once getting there.

Well to be fair he fought 3 tough guys. GSP, Woodley and Ellenberger. He should be fighting mid tier guys

Now now....Goulet is not a bad fighter, he has a win over Rory MacDonald.
Wait....it was Cory MacDonald, my bad.

He had tough fights early on when he got to the big show and lingered too long in other promotions, I think he's too old at this point for any real success in the UFC. It's too bad because from all accounts he is a good guy and a hard worker

Yeah, I'm not sure why he accepted such hard fights (except Goulet, but that was a long time ago). Being 0-3 in the UFC, accepting a fight against a dangerous opponent in Tyron Woodley was a huge gamble. I'd be surprised if he got another chance after that display, but I wouldn't be mad if he did. He still has skills, and he could beat some lower tier fighters, and some mid tier.. At least then he could go out on a positive note in an organization he had extremely bad luck in.
