Whos in line for Jones ?
After Jones beat Sonnen who should be next up for a shot ?
Teixeira did not impress vs Rampage.
Nogueria did not impress vs Rashad Evans.
Henderson did not impress vs Shogun.
This means only Machida and Gustafsson are legit contenders at the moment. IMO if Gustafsson wins he should get the next shot. That is because Machida got finished by Jones in their last fight and hence it is more interesting to see a new attempt by a new fighter.
If Gustafsson loses then Machida should get the shot. If both Gus and Machida loses then the opponent who did the best win should get the shot.

Well we've got a new influx of talent coming in thanks to SF disband. We'll have Mousasi to fight Jones hopefully by the end of the year, if someone doesn't knock him off that's our best bet, Mousasi. Other than that, maybe Gustaf, or new and improved Machida, or right handed hendo.

If Gustaffson wins his next fight, he absolutely deserves the next title shot. If he doesn't, then the winner of Machida/Henderson should get it. Teixeira is at least one more fight away from getting a shot, if not two or three (depends on his performances).

Light Heavyweight has about five number one contenders.
Hendo, Machida, and Gus have been promised title shots, Cormier can apparently just say he wants to fight Jones and he gets it and Sonnen stepped up when no one else would back on eight day's notice.
