Do you guys think Dana White is unhappy with the Results at UFC 156

I was just thinking about it. This PPV had the potential to set up 2 huge PPVs.

Rashad Evans vs Anderson Silva

And

Overeem vs Cain

Do you guys think Dana was looking towards those fights because they would have likely drawn higher numbers then the average PPV (If advertised correctly and the whole card was strong) or do you believe that since its Danas job to be impartial that he actually is?? Or is there anyone that thinks Weidman-Silva, Bigfoot-Cain 2 will draw higher numbers then the previously mentioned fights??

when bigfoot separated Overeem from his senses he also separated zuffa from millions of dollars for the Velasquez match.

Dana shouldn't be annoyed though and probably isn't. It's not pro wrestling. You need to roll with the punches (excuse the pun).

Alls I know is I was upset with all the results of UFC 156.

Now we don't get Rashad vs Anderson, Overeem vs Cain, and Aldo vs Bendo.

Yes and no. As a business, it's the UFC's job to look beyond current fights, and I'm sure the idea of Reem vs. Cain and Evans vs. Silva was very appealing to the top brass. On the other hand, guys like Dana White are also fans and jump out of their seats for those 'Holy s-hit!' moments the same as you and I. It certainly makes future bookings more difficult, but I doubt anyone is actually peeved.

With Evans it's another story. I'd imagine Dana might be annoyed, but that likely has more to do with just how poor the fight was.

Yes and No.

Ever since Randy started the trend it is DW's fault if he tries to make an outcome happen. DW has had this happen often enough that he knew that anything can, and will, happen. But I am sure he also saw the $$$ fly out the window.

To be fair, even if both fighters win their fights there is still like a 50% chance the fight doesn't happen due to an injury.

Overeem wouldn't of fought Cain next anyways, he'd of went up against JDS and winner gets the title shot. Overeem and Cain can still happen, he'll just have to win his next 2 fights. As far as Rashad vs Silva, meh.

Was this confirmed??? Cause i thought i remembered Dana saying that if Overeem wins he gets the title shot.

"Edit"

Yea i was correct.

LAS VEGAS – Alistair Overeem (36-11 MMA, 1-0 UFC) will fight UFC heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez (11-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) if he wins at UFC 156.

During a media day in support of Saturday's event, UFC President Dana White confirmed the widely anticipated title scenario, which puts Overeem's opponent, Antonio Silva (17-4 MMA, 1-2 UFC), in the role of spoiler.

I bet Dana is very very upset but I am sure he will sleep just fine on his mattress of money cause he knows these things happen and some times they work them selves out for the best. There was a time GSP stole a win from BJ Penn and appeared to have ruined Hughes vs Penn 2. I think he is likely most annoyed by the fact both guys seemingly gave the win away. Hell Overeem seemed more concerned with making Silva look bad than he did with making himself look good and Rashad barely attempted to utilize his biggest asset which perfectly lined up to his opponents biggest weakness.

Nah, Dana's rich and all that happened tonight was three of his biggest headaches (Fitch, Evans, Overeem) are now out of title contention.

He just lost out on Cain/Reem and Silva/Rashad.

I'm sure he's not happy deep down, but at the end of the day there isn't anything he can do about it, Overeem and Rashad are the ones who fought like jackasses.
