Weird number for Overeem....they normally have it at a nice round number.

I remember an interview where Ian McCall seemed really happy with his pay....

I forgot, wins in "Tachi Palace Fights" against "Dustin Ortiz" are credible.

What has he accomplished under the WEC/UFC banner? Oh right, a 1-4-1 record. Every notable fighter he has fought against, he has lost. Why should the UFC be paying him anything over the base salary of 8k/8k? People don't buy PPVs to see him, and he hasn't shown that he deserves more.

Obviously as many have pointed out McCall's base is a joke...

What popped out to me and must be a slap in the face to a lot of fighters is that Tyron Woodley's base is $43500 and this is his first fight in the UFC.

Meanwhile, a 6 year veteran like Gleison Tibau is making only $33000 base.

His pay is based on a currency conversion to the Danish krone I believe.

It's around 1.5 mil krone, but the conversion factor agreed in the contract may have remained constant and since then the krone appreciated in value against the U.S. dollar.

Not unfathomable given Bernanke's 'quantitative easing' policy.

Thanks, that makes sense.

Tibau has been boring everyone for 6 years and i bet Woodley is still on his strikeforce contract.

I happened to like Tibau. Unfortunately after the Dunham fight I'm going to have to lump him in with Thiago Silva and Gabriel Gonzaga as guys with wasted talent that I no longer root for.

I would like confirmation on Woodley's contract being continued from SF if anyone can find it.

Right! I forgot that the only real competition was under the Zuffa banner! *eyeroll* the man is largely a successful guy.

So Dominic Cruz, Joseph Benevidez, and Demetrius Johnson are just "notable" fighters. How's this no one who is main eventing UFC events should be paid less than Facebook prelim guys.

It's like Frankie, what's his record lately?

You think the UFC should cut him?

When you are fighting the best guys in the world, some close decision losses aren't exactly an indication of poor performance.
