Overeem weigh in pic comparison

Am i seeing a big difference where there isnt one??? Im having a really hard time telling if the difference is just in my head or an illusion or if the guy is obviously ALOT smaller and less defined in the UFC 156 weigh in pic.

If he did stop the juice im surprised he was acting so cocky in the fight. You would think it would have made him more unsure of himself.

His veins look bumpy...thats weird. Dramatic difference though

He looked even bigger when fighting in K1.

It might be the lighting or maybe he's not flexing but he does look less defined. I wouldn't say he looks smaller... his neck sure as hell doesn't.

Might be cardio training, he looks "bigger" because he cut weight to fight Lesnar while Silva he didn't. It seems to me when you cut water weight you get more definition which is what Overeem had.

This is exactly why bodybuilders dehydrate themselves before a show.

I'm sure I read somewhere that one of the effects of TRT usage is the ease with which fat is lost and the "shreaded" look is achieved... Although without a side by side comparison in the same pose/lighting it's tough to be 100% certain.

In any event, the fighter that fought on Saturday was a very different beast to the monster that destroyed Brock - IMO he looked sluggish with a marked lack of snap to his punches, I believe that we saw on Saturday was the real Overeem - all/most of his previous HW fights need a very large asterix by them.

The version of Overeem that fought on Saturday barely makes the UFC H/W top 10 in my opinion.

There's a lot of talk about how he didn't take the fight seriously etc etc. for goodness sake, we are talking about the man who effectively ended Fedor's career... there is no way Overeem should have taken Big Foot lightly...

The man's a fool

I think he looks way better at 156....

Edit: nvm I was looking at it backwards! hahaha

The flip-side is this win maybe exposes how much hype was behind Brock. Was Brock ever 100% after his surgery? Did people just buy into the Overroid hype train because he beat some "damaged goods" (the former HW poster-boy) -- all while AO was likely juiced up? I'm thinking there is some truth to this, considering it was a knee to the gut that AO used to stop Brock.

AO did look flat at the weigh-ins -- I don't need to see it from the same "angle and lighting" to make that observation. However he could have cut less weight, and not have been as dehydrated either. Getting extra water weight out of your body makes you look more ripped...

I agree with you 100% though -- there's an asterisk beside every one of his wins in my eyes.

Meh, Overeem hardly looked to be a 'shell' of his former self.

The Reem who fought Fabricio looked ten times worse and I'm pretty certain he was on the juice then. Overeem looked fine in the first two rounds and controlled Big Foot rather easily, despite fighting like an arrogant jackass. People are reaching... the only thing different about Overeem this last weekend was that he left his jaw five feet out. I doubt he'll do the same in future.

People who use his performance against Brock as the measuring stick probably haven't seen a lot of his fights.
