Last time i threw this match up out it seemed 70% of the people thought it was not a fight they wanted to see because its an easy win for Overeem and the other 30% like myself were interested in it.

Im curious if the popular opinion has changed after ufc 156. What do you guys think of this match up now??? Last time people were saying that Overeem would take him down with ease and finish it from there. I definitely was capable of seeing that end result also but i also was really intrigued by the potential standup fight we could get. Mark Hunts striking has looked extremely impressive as of late. Throwing out a single punch and walking away before the opponent even hits the floor. And Overeems ground work seemed pretty much non existent. Sure he got Big-foot down but he did literally no damage while down there. So im actually even more excited by this potential fight. Id love for a chance to see Mark Hunt knock Overeem out.

Mark Hunt has asked for this fight before so im sure he would still be happy to take it.

So if JDS vs Overeem does not work out would anyone like to see Hunt vs Overeem instead?? Or am i the lone sheep here.

After hunt gets by struve I would rather hunt fight bigfoot or cain with no clear cut contenders around bar werdum who wouldn't fight a title fight until a few months after he presumably beats big nog, I always thought Hunt was a better striker than reem anyways so no surprise here Hunt's TDD has been good lately so he would KO reem in round 1 if they fought in my opinion.

I certainly expect him to get by struve via devastating KO. Though i wouldnt be surprised if Struve gets rocked and Hunt goes for the finish and ends up getting submitted.

But i disagree about Hunt rather facing off against Bigfoot. That fight doesnt particularly interest me for whatever reason. I just dont see it being exciting you could say. Overeem vs Hunt is a matchup iv wanted for a long time now so im a bit attached to it you could say.

Though if Hunt beats Bigfoot would that warrant a title shot??? That would be 5 wins in a row assuming he gets past struve and Bigfoot. I dont think i would complain. Though i think Cain obviously mauls the poor guy. But it would be one hell of a story for him to get the title shot. A few years back people would have laughed at the idea of Hunt coming even close to a title shot in the UFC.

I know its a fuel card in japan but not a bad fuel card a good one with wandy vsing stann and gomi vs sanchez and a few other good fights, it's in march.

Hunt V Reem or JDS after he beats Struve would be nice.

Or Carwin if he even still exists..

Why the hell would my opinion change?

If Overeem had taken Hunt down like he did Bigfoot in the 2nd he would've submitted him in 25 seconds.

Do you really think overeem has the brains to take down hunt while he is at the blackzillians? i'd bet he could sprawl overeem anyways or tire him out so he couldn't take him down.
