Impressed again with Barao. Looks like only Cruz can stop him and that's questionable given how long he's going to be out for.

Props to Barao, that record his phenomenal.

That arm triangle catch was sick. It's not like it was given to him either. Very impressed.

RIP Jordan Corder. Watch over me from above brother.

Made a note on the other thread. McDonalds cornerman need to be replaced.

Focused on the negatives and just the wrong things.
ie: What are you doing getting hit by that front kick? What kind of pep talk is that... Positive reinforcement rules the day otherwise he starts focusing on that.

Are you tired? Don't worry it won't go five rounds...lolz. He was right. His fighter lost. Just poor choice of words and coaching.

Compare Dedé vs McDonald's cornerman. Pure inexperience. Overall Barao is far more experienced, but having a more experienced corner could have helped McDonald as I see he does have the tools.

I did pick Barao with a much easier win and I also picked em over DC. Fight was fairly competitive. McDonald really showed how good he is at the age of 22. He can hang with the best with a mediocre camp. He moves up to AKA and you'll see an even stronger fighter with more arsenal and much better game planning.

Maximus: For the glory of the Empire, sire.

Baked, not fried... the healthy choice.

Barao adjusted really well after the first round, totally controlled the fight after that. Would have liked to see more him attack the legs more.

Renan rao rao rao Renan Barao, Renan rao rao rao Renan Barao...

Really nice transition into the arm triangle but it didn't look like McDonald actually tried to defend himself against it. I wanna believe he wanted to tough it out until Barao stopped squeezing.

It was in so tight. I know with strength-based chokes like the arm triangle, sometimes if I know I'm drowning I'll try not to struggle at all. Just hope the other fighter thinks I'm letting him wear himself out and let go. Or sometimes struggling makes it sink in faster. Either way great move from Renan.

Me too! Sure he got taken down off a few telegraphed kicks, but he could have ended some combos with low kicks and taken away his TD ability (Alves/Kos).

i'm with the notion that mcdonald just sucked and his corner and team were awful really we aren't fighting for 5 rounds? explains why your cardio disappeared after 1 round, and as for the arm triangle a simple grab of renans hips of ribs with non trapped arm would have saved him or grabbing his own leg and rocking up would have freed him.
