Probably not being allowed to do pro-wrestling... UFC want a full commitment from their fighters, which Barnett has said countless times that he's not willing to do. |

Bah. Was hoping this would work out. People who think Barnett adds nothing to UFC HW are mistaken. He'd be a great addition. Oh, well... this doesn't mean they can't or won't work out these 'issues'.

Or he probably couldn't do wrestling in Japan. One of the reasons Fedor didn't want to come to the UFC was that he wouldn't be able to do Sambo. UFC was afraid he could get hurt and wouldn't be 100% in their fights. Of course the UFC was going to concede if it meant signing Fedor. Nobody got that kind of deal and I doubt Dana wants Josh Barnett as much as he wanted Fedor.

He still has so much to give i don't see why he won't sign with them, he can put pro wrestling aside for a couple years, plus it would make him a better fresher fighter since he wont have to deal with the pain of pro wrestling

Shame. There were some fights I really wanted to see. Barnett vs Nelson or Mir would have been great fights.
I doubt he's going to Bellator. The head of Bellator had an interview where he said he wanted nothing to do with Barnett.

Dude's a lone wolf. Solid fighter, but he just does things his own way. If it's about merchandising or rights to his nickname(s) that's gotta be pretty innocuous.
