If Maia gets the next title shot and Hendricks has to fight Akiyama...

Anderson Silva
Aldo - Dos Anjos - Mayday - Weidman - Machida - Jones

Hey Johny, GSP is another employee just like you. If you want to complain, atleast complain to the right person... and that would be Dana F'in White.

Hendricks is after the right man. Dana thought Johnny was the #1 contender, GSP asked to fight Diaz for personal reasons. If Diaz had no preference, it'd likely be Hendricks vs. GSP.

Disagree. If Dana legitimately believed that Hendricks was the number one contender, then Hendricks would be fighting for the title. People can get uppity at GSP for asking to fight Nick Diaz, but at the end of the day GSP doesn't authorize fights - UFC brass does, and they have the power to say no.

Had GSP asked to fight Matt Riddle, am I expected to believe that UFC higher ups would have said 'yes' on the basis that GSP has always been a company man and has never asked for anything? Rubbish. GSP vs. Diaz is happening because UFC sees money, and that is why they said 'yes' to GSP's request. Again, GSP can ask, but it takes the UFC brass to actually make the fight happen. In that sense, the blame rests with the UFC.

That said, blame is a harsh word. I personally love this fight, and Diaz is indeed a legitimate opponent, regardless of his close loss to Diaz. If Hendricks is anywhere near as scary as he thinks he is, then he can go and knock out Ellenberger and solidify himself as number one contender. Know what I'm saying?

What's funny is if GSP decides to face Condit again if he wins against Rory, or heck fight Rory instead after, then opt for a Tarec Saffedine fight and then maybe a rematch with Nick Diaz again. Throw in a super fight with Anderson finally and maybe if JH is still around he can throw him a bone.

Welcome it's now 2015.

Everybody always talks about you shouldn't pick fights which is true to an extent, but what's funny is what it comes to somebody's favorite fighter they're quick to defend and vice versa.

In times of wars the generals always got the spoils first. Why cuz they've earned it.

Hendricks fight = $1 million payout
Diaz Fight - At least $2 million maybe more

He's right at the top in the mix. If he beats Jake, most likely he'll get the winner of MacDonald/Condit. He beats either of them, he's got a clean shot at GSP. A lot can happen still...
If Johnny beat Jake, he needs the title shot. He should not have to fight the winner of Macdonald/Condit.

I can't be the only one wishing Jonny Hendricks would just shut the **** up about this.

I'm praying Ellenberger beats him just for the lulz

UFC sets the fights - end of story. Contrary to Johnny's statement, GSP is not paid to fight him. GSP is currently being paid to fight Diaz.

I had more respect for JH before this little tantrum. Gotta wonder how much confidence he has in himself, beyond his big punch.

Hendricks is a baby. He hasn't properly climbed the ladder in my opinion and was just as bad as the next guy for requesting title shots. He arguably lost to Kos and knocked out Kampman who almost gets flash KO'd in all his fights and only beat Ellenberger because he gassed (Kampman).

There are guys better and more deserving then JH and his whining is just making me dislike him more every time he owns his mouth.

I hope he loses to JE and gets his ego put into check. Or he could win and get embarrassed by GSP just like most of the contenders.

Not that Hendricks didn't earn a title fight, but when you consider that Hendricks won a close decision against Koscheck, whom GSP rag dogged and bullied for 5 full rounds, and Diaz lost a close one to Condit who actually gave GSP as much trouble as anyone has in a losing effort since Penn. Then I can see the logic in seeing Diaz as a more 'worthy' challenger.

And where did those rankings comes from? Fitch #2, Koscheck #5, Kampamnn #3?

Not sure exactly how I'd rank them, but certainly would not have even one of them in the top 5.
