This is a really complicated situation and I think Dana decided on the 135 pound weight class cause that's probably the deepest women's division. I'm still a little confused considering Mike Dolce said he could get Cyborg down to 135 healthy. Also the idea that going down there would complicate her having a family is crap because she could always gain weight!

Wow... you don't understand the human body do you? The point is that if she cuts to 135lbs... she'll be so much has below her healthy body weight that she will damage her body.

Cyborg isn't saying that it will affect her ability to have a family because she won't weigh enough. There is a lot more to cutting weight than just what the scale shows. Cutting weight affects the body in negative ways if done to an extreme, or in the wrong way. That having been said, I do agree that it is strange that Mike Dolce says he can do it safely but yet Tito and Cyborg say otherwise.

I guess we also don't know if Cyborg has already attempted a test cut.

I don't think she likes the idea of spending the rest of her career with only arm...

The idea that she can't get ready to fight at 135 is utter balone - the fact is she's a cheat, and wouldn't stand a chance against RRR - even on the juice I'd back Rousey all day long and twice on Sundays

Cutting isn't bad for you if you do it right; lose it slowly over time through diet (which would have been Mike Dulce's approach), as oppose to the pretty dangerous but common, severe dehydration methods. Also, having to make 135 isn't an unspeakable weight. She doesn't want to lose some of her muscle mass, which is her prerogative, but weighing 135lbs isn't detrimental to your health. I can appreciate her fear of losing out on some of her muscle, because that's become a key part of her arsenal, her strength advantage, but if Cain v Brock has taught us anything, is that superior talent & technique wins the day.

Also, the whole I want to save my body for kids excuse.... steroids usage in women causes changes in the reproductive system including a change or cessation of the menstrual cycle, even eventually leading to infertility.

How long was she going to roll that infertility dice if she were never caught? She's been on it for years as is, that's not the behavior of someone so deeply concerned about the issue of reproduction, imho.

I'm sorry, are you her doctor? Or her posting under a pseudo name? Unless you know her personally you cannot speak to whether or not weighing 135 pounds would be detrimental to her health. Some body types and some people cannot support that little weight. There are a lot of factors at play when it comes to healthy body weight.

Rhonda is a 135 pounder and Cyborg a 145 pounder. Why should Rhonda go up to meet Cyborg when she has the belt. It would be a great fight but what about after. Cyborg wins Rhonda is still Champion at 135 with an 1-1 record in the UFC. I am of coarse assuming she beats Carmouche. If she doesn't then the whole point of the fight is Moot anyway.

I assume Cyborg is still under her Zuffa contract with Strikeforce, so either they give her a fight in her weight class, or they release her. It sounds like if Zuffa isn't willing to start a 145 pound women's division and Cyborg isn't willing to drop down to a lower weight class then they need to let her go.

Making a catch weight fight would probably be a big one time money maker for both fighters and the UFC. But if Cyborg wins, and there is a good possibility she could, then Rousey's belt is tarnished and that won't be good for WMMA, IMO. I doubt Zuffa is willing to do that at this point, after all the crow they have eaten to start it in the first place.
