Bo Jackson smokes all these scrubs in terms of best pure athlete. Many of these guys are debatably not even the best in their one sport. Tiger being on here for playing a game most retiree's could best a young man at is a travesty. Big surprise from the slanderous and misinforming ESPN. They forgot all the "athletes" from dominoes, bowling, billiards and Texas hold-em too...

Bo knows!

I'd give Deion Sanders over Bo Jackson just based on longevity and durability.

But really this issue was solved 25 years ago, while all those athletes may be great only one was perfect.

Hell I would pick GSP as a better athlete than silva at least he goes 5 rounds every time
how does going 5 rounds make you a better athlete? In theory, wouldn't the best MMA athlete have shorter fights simply because he so much more athletic then his opponent?

And it's a shame rhonda rousey isn't on that list! ITS CAUSE SHES A WOMAN!! Gold medalist and world champion!!....... eh.. just kidding.

Dominick Cruz | Jose Aldo | Donald Cerrone | Vitor Belfort | Fedor | Daniel Cormier

I've seen some terrible posts in my day, but good lord, this could very well be in the top three worst posts of all time.

Good lord.

Pro Wrestlers from that era? Ali might have innovated with trash talk into real life sports but it had been there for a while.

Ali did a lot more than trash talk, his accomplishments go way beyond the ring, he was an inspirational person and even though at times he might have been too extremist. He had amazing fights in his career but his biggest fights were outside of the ring....its actually impressive how much of a fighting genius he was even though he dedicated a lot of his time to other things, i have no doubt he could have reached an even bigger potential had he not concentrated so much of his time on other things.

Still he made in impact on society with his fights and his belifes, that is why hes held in such high regard, what he was able to do and the bounderies he crossed is simply amazing, he really is one of the best boxers to ever put on a pair of gloves, but most boxing fans know that he isnt the GOAT in boxing, but understand why so many ppl see him as such.

Personally i think sugar ray robinson is the GOAT in boxing, but combine Alis career inside the ring and out is what made him, but yes Ali loved wrestling and did get his trash talking ideas from them.

I hate to say it, but the truth must be told.. Lebron James is probably the greatest athlete ever.

The poll should be "Greatest Sports Star of All Time".

Dude Michael Jordan, Ali, Michael Phelps, Bo Jackson, Pele are on there...this is a popularity contest if anything man, too much talent in one list.

Except the nascar driver, not to be a dick here, but driving is not a sport, and neither is freaking Golf. Respect to the guys who do these things obviously, but yeah...nope.
