I dont really like Hughes shoving bibles at his fighters on TUF. Hunting exotic animals in Africa. I dont mind hunting Deer and whatnot that you eat, I believe hunting for food is much more Humane than meat plants where the food comes from at the Grocery store, and i believe that hunters have a lot more respect for the animals they hunt than people who dont hunt do. Unless your a Vegan there is nothing you can say to someone who hunts for food.

I actually like Dan Hardy under the fassad he puts up I think he is a deep individual kinda spiritual did he travel to China or something to live with monks for a while or something like that. Anyway he seems like a genuine person.

I can bring up Randy, Chuck, and Tito's records and they don't look tremendously impressive by today's standards, but back then Randy/Chuck/Tito/Rich were at the top of their game. Rich was beating everyone put infront of him not named Anderson Silva, in not one but two different divisions.

Chuck was/is past his prime. But so is/was Rich. Franklin hasn't been the same fighter for a while now and needs to probably consider hanging them up, especially after his loss to Le. So the "past his prime" excuse really doesn't apply here.
Wanderlei Silva was still relevant when they fought in '09 (He had lost to Jackson, Liddell, Henderson and Cro Cop, four of some of the best MMA competitors this sport has seen) and was coming off of a big win over Cung Le when they fought in '12.
When Rich beat Matt Hamill, Hamill was considered a rising star who got robbed blind by Michael Bisping. Franklin was actually a slight underdog in that fight, if I remember correctly. Not to mention he fought at LHW for the first time in years.
I realize that many people will give me flak for listing Travis Lutter, but Travis really had an awesome skillset back then (which people never give him credit for) and beat up Anderson Silva for a round before gassing and being an idiot.
Nate Quarry was the best Middleweight that the UFC had to offer at the time that he fought Franklin. In comparison now, Quarry may not get much love but Quarry has always been a warrior and after TUF was also considered to be one of the better guys in the house until his injuries.
Jorge Rivera may have never been a top ten fighter but he was a longtime UFC fighter who had a solid career.
Ken Shamrock was past his prime but still a name.
Agreed. Troll on Hellboy...

Is that really a necessary post to make?

Two posters engaged in a discussion about a fighter going through his career record with their own opinions and you just chime in with a nothing post.

Good job.

I can see I struck a nerve. However, I was stating my opinion as well and agreeing with the other in your "discussion".

You didn't strike anything.

Trolling means having a different opinion according to you.

Matt Hughes -

Good for the sport as a long reigning, active and dominant champion? Yes.

Good for the sport as a spokesperson/coach/peoples person? HELL NO.

It's really as simple as that.
