I wouldn't mind seeing them fight. Hughes held his own against Tito in no-gi grappling and he's just as big if not bigger than Randy.
He was looking for greener pastures because he was smart. Limited earnings power in MMA and at his age he wanted to earn some money in the short time he had left. One fight can end your career and then the big money is gone, so I don't see how he can be blamed for that

When those fighters were relevant, they were what the UFC was know for. But their relevance was limited to their career, so ten years if they were lucky.
Dana and the gang, invested (gambled?) their own cash on the UFC and where and are in it for the long haul.
How many pro basketball/football/baseball players do you hear bad mouthing the MBA/NFL/MLB? yeah that's right you don't. And what about footie across the pond; where Managers (and it doesn’t matter how famous they are – just ask Sir Alex Ferguson) regularly get fined for just suggesting that the referee had a bad game...

It's time the fighters accepted that they are employees of the UFC and the UFC is a lot bigger than they are - regardless of the fact that just a few years ago that statement might not have been true...

To all you young fighters out there - treat your employer with respect and there's a good chance (depending on your talent and behavior) that they will look after you once you retire. But if you cross Dana White, he will have his revenge (in this life of the next). Just go ask Josh Barnet if his spat those years ago now seems worth it…

It’s a pity because I always liked Randy, now I consider him totally Expendable

Everyones expendable in the UFC apart from the shareholders. Its a typical corporation in that respect. And when your an employee of a corporation that isnt valuing you enough, ie not giving you enough work or enough money, then you go to the competition if they are willing to pay you more and look after you better. This kind of thing happens everyday. Randy has nothing to be ashamed of.

Had that spat with Dan Henderson looks like its not over.
Todd Duffee
Josh Barnett
Tim Sylvia
Fedor

It looks like most of them enjoyed their time in the UFC, the issue is that they didnt like Dana White. I could imagine most of the fighters just coming in, fight, get their pay, and get out and try to interact with Dana White as little as possible because not only they dont like him, but they will get double crossed if they piss him off. Dana tries to make people hating Dana White as synonymous with hating with the UFC, but thats not the case. Even me, I like the UFC brand, the fighters, and the fights. But if I had the chance, I would like to strangle Dana. And im not one of his fighters who see him on a regular and personal basis. Shame that my opinion of Dana White soured this much.

im pretty sure we are missing alot more. When Dana White holds grudges he holds them for YEARS.

Naming ten or so fighters out of the hundreds whom have passed through the organization isn't making much of a statement. Not everyone is going to get along with his or her boss, and vice versa. It doesn't necessarily make either party 'bad' or 'difficult to deal with'. Sometimes people don't mesh. Simple as.

Never said I blamed him, I can never begrudge someone from trying to maximize their earning potential. However, I also don't blame Dana for rewarding someone who chose to be loyal to him over someone who didn't.

I %100 percent agree, I feel like the myth of honest nice guy Randy Couture is such a farce that him and the UFC heavily pumped up to raise his stock. Also he is a TERRIBLE actor.

You mean you didn't like him in Scorpion King...hahah! Well spoken individual, but guess that's a wrap for em. Him, Tank, Ken, Frank, and JB can start up a senior league. I'd watch it.

I've always enjoyed listening to real fighters on commentary. Randy, Mir, Florian, Stann, Sonnen, Bas, etc... they bring something unique.
lol, Randy would be awful doing Goldbergs commentary, absolutely awful. People shit on Goldberg and completely underestimate how difficult his commentating style actually is.

Couture is a great analysing commentator and it would have been great to see him as a third man, but to take over Goldbergs job? That would be disastrous.
