Haha true that. Maia is far from elite but Shields' striking is just awful.

Shield is so overrated and I think people realize that now. The votes indicate that.

I wouldn't say overrated, nor do these votes have anything to do with him being overrated. The new Maia is killing people left and right.
It'd be an interesting fight because of Shields BJJ level.

I wouldn't as Maia grapples with heavy condecorated BJJ dudes while teaching them ( Mir and Gonzaga, for Ex.) and got them really surprised. Shields has zero to offer to Maia on the mat. I consider this fight a downgrade for Maia, if it happens.

Down playing Shields level of BJJ. Not saying he's better than Maia, but it'd make a for a fun fight.
Even though im a fan of both guys I'd like to see Stun Gun and Shields fight

If he can own Fitch, he can certainly beat Shields.
Or if Shields furiously defended TDs it would be a terrible kickboxing match with Maia winning anyway. Even though Shields outstruck GSP for 2 rounds his standup is some of the worst in the UFC.

Maia all day. I haven't the foggiest idea as to what Shields is even good at. He hasn't looked impressive once since joining the UFC.

*A half blind GSP and barely outstruck him.
I know you hate the guy, but don't deny reality.

Shields is better at fighting off his back and sweeping than Fitch is.

Maia on top would spell bad news for Shields. Jake is very good at grappling, but I wouldn't be that worried for Maia at all if he had Jake on his back.
