Fair comment but not really. We all know how thin the womens divisions were back then and even now look at it. It's hardly riddled with competition. Beautiful great story Rhonda is the reason there is a UFC Womens division coupled with the fact there are 5/6 other women elite fighters. You have to appreciate Dana is looking at the Womens division (as you're talking about) from a business perspective and how far the division can go without being repetitive. I'd imagine he's hoping for upcoming female fighters expanding the division into more weights etc. Hence why they're not bothered about Cyborg (the destroyer) being involved right now.

It's not like Zuffa can go around testing every fighter in the UFC randomly all year long. If they did, you would have many more fighters testing positive & suspended for recreational drugs(weed) than you would for testosterone levels.
I guess of course Zuffa could do just exactly this. Only because the athletic commission hands out exemptions to fighter licenses, doesn't mean that they cannot have stricter rules in their own company. Fighters would still be free to fight in other organisations that don't have those stricter rules.

Dana finally realizes what any idiot months ago when guys like Sonnen and Marquardt were caught gaming the system.

If Dana actually means what he says and either

A: Gets the commissions to stop legalizing this shit.

or

B: Creates an in-house rule and self-polices against the use of TRT.

I would have that much more respect for him and the sport and it would only be a good thing.

This isn't ******* a Mexican drug cartel.

The Olympics and Major League Baseball are doing fine...sure people still cheat but people are getting caught more than ever and getting suspended without pay.

You'll never stop everyone from cheating but catching people, and scaring potential users is a great thing for sports.

How much does it cost for a test? Considering the amount of damage that's being done to the legitimacy of the sport. Consider the cost of testing 50% of each card at random times is probably beneficial. Look at everyone commenting on these threads that slate abusers, it's most people, lets face it.. Maybe we'll not stop watching all together but through time roids put you off the sport if its not dealt with, off following it, off paying for Dana's wages.....etc. Seem to be rambling here as I'm a wee bit drunk but you get my drift I hope.

Dana's going after guys on TRT, so he won't be testing fifty percent of the roster, to the best of my knowledge Hendo, Vitor, Chael, Forrest, Mir, Rampage, and Todd Duffee are the only guys in the UFC on TRT. Mir's already been randomly tested while using TRT and his levels were 1:1.

I am not talking about specific situations in terms of how "important" they are. I am just saying that Dana always talks about doing this and that and doesn't follow through a very large amount of the time.

Bit of a strange one this for me as I can see where you're coming from but in regards to a subject like this, I've never seen/heard him speak so strongly, and he's probably been sober too when saying it. I think (maybe just hope) that something has triggered something in him to clean the sport up.

A wee note I just realised. On the 2nd part of Rouseys Primetime she talks about being totally clean etc. Maybe there has been some things that's made him change his mind since he's so far up her arse....jus a thought...

Mir didn't cheat then and justifiably used the treatment even though he probably used steroids a while back and thats why his levels were so low.

The problem is guys have already been caught cheating with it multiple times and gotten slaps on the wrist.

Well to be fair Ronda is an elite athlete so far ahead of her peers that she doesn't need to use. If she was a man it'd be a different story.

Not many women can claim having an elite genetic pedigree as well as combat training stemming from their youth from someone who happened to be a world champion judo practitioner.

But yeah, I mean, it really wouldn't surprise me if Dana called of his marriage one day and then a week later announced he's engaged to Rousey.

For the first time ever, I actually agree with Dana.

I'll believe it when I see it, though.
