Which fighter do you think has best chance of dethroning current champs

Bearing in mind the friends whow on't fight eachother like cain and cormier or hacran diaz and aldo.

FLW - Still Benavidez right now since it's a thin division and joe would probably be a lot better in the rematch.

BW - Barao obviously seeing how he is on the tear that he is and also cruz' layoff

FW - Pettis seeing how he can apparently make 145 easy and he is tremendous in every area bar the wrestling makes him the best candidate

LW - Gray Maynard only because I can't see many at LW doing muc h to bendo except a big wrestling with KO power

WW - Nick Diaz he has the cardio to be active the entire fight so it will be interesting to see if GSP gets lazy in the finalr ounds and gets caught with a sub

MW - Weidman because he has the best grappling in the whole division and is very strong, also the other mw fighters aren't good at all so that's easy

LHW - Sonnen plain and simply because I think he will be the only not to be intimidated by jones aura and length to actually fight right against jon and having great wrestling only boosts his chances albeit slim

HW - tough one since no one at all can probably beat cain, so I will go with the punchers chance and pick Hunt if he gets a early bomb off early and collects cain.

I agree with all except I think the biggest threat to Jones is Hendo, and JDS to Cain. Yes i'm bias as im a big fan of both, but Hendo's right hand can drop anyone and JDS was Cain's only loss.

UFC_OWNS 02-18-2013 01:31 AM

he would be 3rd on my list behind cormier

HW- dos Santos, even though I think Cain would win a rematch just as decisively as he did last time.

LHW- Machida. I know Jones has already beaten him but I still think that Machida would come in with a better gameplan and work Jones to a UD or a TKO in the championship rounds.

MW- Weidman. But I still don't think Weidman can beat Anderson. I just think Weidman would be the most competitive when you bring up everyone else in the division.

WW- Rory. Even though I doubt GSP and this spoiled brat will ever fght, I still think he could give GSP trouble in just about any situation.

LW- Hard to say. I think Melendez is very overrated and will get dominated by Henderson. Aldo, Edgar, and Pettis are all at FW now. I'd say Maynard.

FW- Pettis, though I think Aldo's speed will be too much.

BW- For Cruz, Barao. For Barao, Wineland. I think Wineland has a legitimate shot.

FLW- Benavidez. This is pretty much a four man division.

i wouldn't discount those picks either ari there all plausible scenarios

Hw- Dos Santos he's already beaten the guy and was making Cain look silly before he got caught in the rematch. Not to mention he didn't look himself and all that offense and Cain couldn't finish him and was only close once. And it's only dos Santos because Cormier won't fight Cain.

Lhw- Machida is too mentally weak and folds, shogun is washed up, Gus can't wrestle, shad looks lost, Henderson is old, Chael is too small and doesn't have the tools. So either Glover who I'm not sold on or maybe Cormier he can make the weight. Not a lot at LhW right now.

Mw- Weidman he's just a stylistic nightmare for Silva. Vitor is a distant second.

Ww- Rory but they won't fight so Diaz by I don't think Hendricks is equipped well enough to actually pose problems to georges.

LW- Pettis again he's the last guy to beat him so it's kind of a forced choice. LW is pretty thin as well. Gil is going to get clowned and bendo has beaten everyone else. Maynard is too damn slow.

Fw- Frankie in a rematch. Heart. That is all.

Bw- Renan for obvious reasons.

Flw- JoeB I thought the first fight was really close and division is too thin to say anyone else.

I disagree with most of your picks UFC OWNS :/

I'm not sold on weidman at all, hunt should only be mentioned after he fights struve, Gray is coming off a horrible fight with Guida and is on a 1 fight win streak, Diaz literally just lost and is fighting for the title, and quite honestly his fight with condit was pretty even, and gsp dismantled condit...Pettis should be fighting Bendo, and not Aldo, but I'm not complaining. Sonnen fighting Jones is a damn joke, this fight makes no sense at all.

FW - Pettis
LW - Pettis/Gil
WW - Hendricks
MW - Vitor or Lombard if they can catch Silva
LHW - Machida or Hendo
HW - Would be Reem if he didn't let me down, I'll go with BF :/

HW - JDS. I think their 3rd fight will be completely different from the first two, much closer contested with JDS finishing Cain in the 3rd of 4th round.
LHW - This is hard...I'd love to say Machida but can't see him beating Jones truthfully. Sonnen's barely got a chance to survive the first round and I see Jones toying with Hendo should they meet. Gustaf will likely lose but I think atm he has the best shot.
MW - Weidman. Don't see him beating Silva but he certainly has the tools to make it interesting.
WW - Hate to agree with some of the posts above, but yeah Rory. I don't like the guy but he's the future of the WW division.
LW - Michael Chandler should he ever come to the UFC (not sure if he's still with or staying with Bellator?)
FW - Pettis. The fight's going to be insaaaanely good.
BW - Renan, obviously.
FLW - Benavidez because, yeah.
