I don't get this. If anything I'd think women competing makes MMA more legit as a sport and makes it seem less like two brutes smashing each other's faces in.

Pretty much all of the above seems more ligit than Garry Cooks views. I hope it's not reliable or is reversed.

I guess the UFC are treading carfully with WMMA and their division and how the fans, media, and public in general view two Women MMA fighters.

Kinda got me thinking about something.

We've seen some bloodbaths in the octagon, like Velasquez/Bigfoot and Babalu/Heath...

...how would it be viewed if the next big MMA Bloodiest fight was Rousey/Carmouche? Or a WMMA fight in the UFC?

I'll never understand why so many people on this forum will never understand why some people object to women's MMA. Women are symbols of beauty, so some people - including GSP and Swedes, apparently - don't want to see beauty get bloodied and bruised. Also, in nature men are naturally fighters. Men are hunters and killers in most species while women are caregivers and nurturing. Among humans, when you go out to a bar are you more likely to see two men get into a fistfight or two women? Obviously men, because men fighting is natural while women fighting is not.

Of course some people will run in here proudly galloping on their moral high horses and exclaiming that "The only difference between a man and a woman is a piece of meat between their legs!" but this is so utterly moronic that the self-delusion required to believe such a thing is on par with New York legislators who think MMA should be illegal.

NOBODY is saying women shouldn't have the right to compete in MMA, but some people just don't want to watch it, that's all. Do we not have the right to not want to watch a certain sporting event?

would hurt the UFC big time because the media are vultures and so are the scum culinary union and giving them that ammo would be just awful.

Most of the girls in MMA are ass ugly, the hottest one doesn't fight anymore so I could care less about them getting beat him.

Well the current UFC champion is attractive, and I was making more of a general statement than commenting on specific girls' looks.

Please don't associate Cook with Man United. He's an ex Man City employee
