It was blatantly apparent that Swick was out of his league in the first round, when Okami just overwhelmed Mike and buckled his knees while he put him down.

Watch from the 2:15, down to the 2:00 point of Round 1. You'll see what I'm talking about.

He looked tough as nails, Swick is no can and Okami made him look like one.

He will probably fight once or twice more before he faces the Champ. you gotta believe Franklin will get the next crack at the belt.

He will give anybody at 185 trouble.

More likely McDonald

grove is not ready for Okami, and even though he has looked impressive in all his UFC fights so far, They will not risk him losing to a top fighter at this stage.

Okami IMO is ranked #3 for UFC 185. Silva 1 and Franklin 2

To be honest until last night, Okami was'nt even on my radar. but he really dominated Swick, who I thought should have gotten a title shot. I was more wrong about Swick than I was about Diego.

He could have finished the fight so many times, and he would pretend to, and then let up for no reason. He sunk that choke in like 3 or 4 times, and then quickly let go and started pounding on Swick. He looked like he was doing that on purpose as part of a strategy. Then when he had Swick mounted he wasn't really hitting him hard enough to lay him out, just hard enough to where it would totally suck to be Swick eating those punches for 2 minutes straight with that big ass on top of him. I swear he didn't finish that fight on purpose. He just looked like he wanted to mess with Swick's mental game like he did to Kaleb.
Damn, I'd have to go back and watch the fight again, but both me and my Dad were saying that Okami looked tired in the third round. He didn't have much fire to his punches while he had full mount on Swick, and he was also very cautious on the feet and avoided using combinations. I don't disagree with you that he COULD have finished the fight, but him not finishing the fight on purpose is debatable. From my view, it looked like more of a conditioning thing.

Who knows, it's not like we'll ever get an answer out of the guy about it. He looked tough as hell, though. Breaking Mike Swick down like that isn't an easy thing to do.
