This is a shame. I really was looking forward to MacDonald vs Condit 2 and Hendricks vs Ellenberger. Hendricks vs Condit and Marquardt vs Ellenberger also are very good match ups but I would've liked to see the original match ups happen a bit more,these things happen in MMA.
I think Hendricks will be able to beat Condit by over powering him, landing the more damaging strikes on the feet and controlling Condit in the grappling. though I expect the fight to go the distance and be pretty closely contested. Marquardt vs Ellenberger is a very hard fight to pick a winner I'm gonna have to think about this match up for a bit before I give my opinion.

Damnit I'm not a fan of this. It'll be entertaining, don't get me wrong. But Condit's one of my favorites and I think Hendricks deserves a title shot, so something's gotta give. Really sucks Rory Mac got hurt.

To add to that point, Condit also hits pretty damn hard himself.
Accuracy and power isn't something to be overlooked.

pre interim champion Condit would have had my support over Hendricks, but he lost a lot of my respect when he decided to sit on the shelf and wait for the payday, now I really just want to see him get knocked the **** out

but Carlos landed his hook before Hardy did. And Condit is faster than Hendricks as well.

Condit hasn't and never will be known as a power puncher. He's more of a volume striker, let's get that straight.
Condit how ever is the much more technical striker (but so was Martin Kampmann), quicker striker and the more diverse and unpredictable of the two.
How will this play out inside the cage? Who bloody knows, I can't wait to find out.

Who's calling him a power puncher? No, he doesn't hit as hard as Hendricks. But it's silly to claim that he doesn't hit hard period. One punch floored Dan Hardy and one punch put Rory on his arse. There's differing degrees of power. Condit's might not be as insane as Big Rig's but he's still a hard hitter.

this sucks.. i wanted to see hendricks get a title shot. hendricks loses to condit 9 times out of 10.. Condit outclasses him in every way.
