his 5 round fights are controversial. I think Frankie takes this in the 2nd though. His pace will be way too much for Cub in round 2. Cub always comes out really hard in the first and slows majorly in the second

This is a prime example of why (outside of BJ) nobody cares about anything below WW.
But anyway, Edgar plays everything smart. He loses to Bendo, so complains for a rematch. Loses to Bendo again, knows there's a big payday out there and nobody cares about FW, so he gets a title shot there. He lost that, so he's trying to pick a fight with the next best guy to fight available. And he knows if he wins that, even though he'd be 1-3 in his last 4 UFC fights, he would probably get another title shot.

Why is everyone wanting finishes all the time. 3-5 round wars are always fun. LW is one of my favourite divisions

I don't like your use of the term 'nobody' it's awfully inclusive, and incorrect. Stun Gun and I love LW, now your statement is invalid. A better, though still controversial way to say it would be 'this is why not everyone cares about anything below WW'

^^^^THIS! Frankie keeps trying to out-point his opponents and then keeps getting upset when the judges don't rule in his favour. He needs to have move dominant performances to win again.

He doesn't necessarily need the finish though, he just has to be more dominate in his performances.

Oh - Frankie wants a five-round fight. Who saw that coming? I'd actually be more impressed with him winning a three-round fight for once, prove that he's game "early" on

100% agree here. Just like I said earlier, it's time for Frankie to take a step back from headlining, to prove he can still notch wins in shorter fights.

Not feeling this matchup. Also agree it's pretty weak for Frankie to request a 5 round fight. I'd rather have Lamas vs Cub. Let Frankie fight Lentz further on down the card. Boring fight I know, but Frankie doesn't like to make any fight exciting.

Sorry, "the vast majority of people don't care" about anything below WW. Look at the buyrates, they speak for themselves. They only let Aldo/Edgar main event a pay-per-view since the core online audience viewed it as a "dream fight", and they had Rashad and Overeem to try to carry the star power load.
Frankie vs. Bendo did worse than Rampage vs. Hammill for crying out loud. And the UFC would probably never going forward put a BW title fight in a main event slot, or whatever the division Mighty Mouse is in. And Aldo's buyrates generally kind of suck too.
5-round wars can be exciting but they sometimes lack when nobody's in danger of being finished. Hendo vs. Shogun was a perfect 5-round war.
