I would like to see them hold off on giving anyone a title shot right away. I think by the number of arguments we obviously have here that there may not be 1 true undisputed #1 contender. Matt Serra is a good poster boy for the short term, let him sit on the sidelines and help give UFC a good name while over the next few PPV's figure out who is the undisputed, or at least heavily favored #1 contender. I mean they were billing Kos vs Diego as the winner fought GSP once he beat Serra. Now we have Hughes, GSP already asked for a rematch, Kos, and Diego still thinks he earns his shot, and I am sure there are a couple others who think they deserve a shot too.

Smart move = lets settle who deserves the shot first
Dumb move = declare a #1 contender while it is still being disputed

Talk about a PPV draw.

I completely agree. Hughes will definitely get his shot at the title versus Serra. GSP will have one tune up fight before getting a crack back at the belt. Dana already said whoever won the diego koscheck fight was sliding into a title shot, so Hughes will probably fight serra, then fight Koscheck, and then gsp/hughes 3

There is no question Josh Koscheck is the REAL #1 contender, absolutely no question.

You're just a cook...

Thank you, I've been saying that all along. I actually made a thread about it, and in 3-4 pages everybody seemed to think that Hughes deserved it.

Support Mixed Martial Arts, not Ultimate Fighting

I wonder if Dana has had a chance to talk about anything other than this exact topic since the end of the PPV last night. I bet before hand everything was so clear and laid out and then Serra had to go mess up his whole plan, lol.

id like to see Serra sit it out for a bit whilst Hughes v GSP and Kos V Karo or Fitch, both on the same card would be nice.
