Wink Dana should let the WW belt rest...

I say with everything that's going on, between Kos's domination of a ho-hum fight (not so much his fault though), the Serra shock heard round the world, and Matt Hughes' bad attitude and recent beating... Dana should let Matt Serra sit on the belt for a bit and savor the mountain he just climbed.

I for one say the next available card (UFC72?) should be headlined by the WW grudge-matches. GSP and Hughes will both be hungry... Very hungry. When better for GSP/Hughes 3??? And what about a chance for Diego to redeem himself after meeting with the Dalai Lama, while giving Koschek a chance to solidy himself with those skills that make him look possibly more dominant than anyone at WW right now?

I say take a lesson from the legacy of Pride and don't worry so much about the belt as about getting a couple of psycho wars!

For those who don't want GSP/Hughes III or Diego/Kos III in such short order then shuffle up and make it GSP/Diego and Hughes/Kos...

2 cents...

Why rest the best division in the UFC? Compared to the other divisions, the WW has the toughest competition. I do agree that there needs to be a LW title fight soon. Hughes/GSP grudge match would definatly sell, especially after GSP losing his belt to a TUF winner.

Or even a tag team, GSP and Koscheck vs Hughes and Sanchez for the tag titles.

That'd be great and all but the card for 72 is pretty much decided.

Something that is getting under my skin everytime I hear GSP's name is that Matt Hughes' name is also in there and always scheduled for a rematch with GSP.

Where exactly does Matt get the credentials to fight the recently de-throned king GSP? I'm well aware of who he is and blah blah blah, but his last 'dominating' performance was against Chris Lytle.

GSP, although losing to Serra, is still on the mountain higher than Hughes is.

And KOS and Diego, let this shit settle for a little while before we start talking trilogies and title shots, it was just ONE three round fight, wait until the dust settles before we all go fcuken ape shit over shit we just saw.

actually i'm going to change my mind and agree with you. gsp is the #1 contender not hughes IMO...and i wouldn't be surprised if he gets first crack at it.. why? becuz i think dana wants to have gsp/hughes 3 in montreal, and he wants that for the title.

Matt Hughes' credentials? He is the former WW champion and has yet to get a rematch. He is the most dominating Champion in UFC history, next to Couture. People are quick to write off Hughes because they don't like his attitude but when he gets in the octagon, he trys his best to win unlike some fighter(Sanchez). Attitude aside, he can put on a good show.

Definitely. Styles make fights, and these two potential matches would not only put asses in seats, it would give the audience a reason to stay awake. Not like thee 3 round ballet-in-panties that kos and diego performed on Saturday.

I'd rather see a grudge match between BJ Penn and Matt Hughes. I think there is a lot of bad blood there.

Lol.

I think that GSP/Hughes 3 will be for the belt, in Montreal, with GSP as the challenger, and Hughes as the champion. How is this going to happen? Well it is quite obvious that Hughes will get a title shot against Serra, and then after Hughes beats him, GSP will have another win(implying that he will fight a tune-up/#1 contendar fight), making for the rubber match on Canadian Soil. Talk about a PPV draw.
