Calling All Matt Serra Fans

I would like to use this space to formally appologize to all Matt Serra supporters. He kicked GSPs a$$. I'm sorry for doubting your boy. I guess that's what makes UFC so great. It is completely unpredictable. Every dog has his day. Props to Serra.

I'm glad it was Matt Serra that won and not someone else. Serra is a class act just like GSP. He may not be the best but he's still a good fighter and a nice guy. Congratz Matt.

My Top 6
BW = Miguel Torres
LW = Tyson Griffin
WW = GSP
MW = Gegard Mousasi
LHW = Lyota Machida
HW = Fedor

I agree. The thing I liked the most about that fight was how professional both fighters were. There was no hate, there was no excusses it was a good clean fight and both fighters are class acts. I like to see this maturity rather than the childishness of most of the fighters out there.

I'm not going to pretend like I saw this coming. I gave Serra NO chance. I have to say, even before he caught GSP, I was impressed by his striking. He was pushing forward and his strikes seemed fairly crisp. I hate seeing GSP lose, but I'll give Serra his due. Hats off to you Matt. You proved us all wrong and actually provided some legitimacy to TUF 4. Way to take advantage of the situation.

Are you kidding me? Out of 10 times Gsp would win 8-9 times. Serra was just having a good day.

But yea, serra did well.

Matt really impressed me with the way he helped coach
his team members on TUF4. Every match you could hear him
shouting advice. I really liked the way he got involved.
I sent him an email right after TUF4 and he actually responded too. I don't want to take anything away from GSP either, he is a really classy guy! Both guys are great in their own way.

I cant wait to see Matt Sera fight again. Even before this fight Matt was one of my favorite fighters, not as much as GSP but still in my top 5 fighters (No I'm not just saying this now that he won) I got into UFC with TUF 4 so I'm really happy to see Serra win the title.

I only hope he improves even more and keeps the title for a while.

During the fight Matt's striking looked very crisp, and it was much faster than GSP's. I hate the fact that he won but i will still give him the respecthe deserves for destroying GSP.

If anyone has put in years of work and heart and effort into this game and deserves to be a champion, even if his reign isn't long, it is Matt Serra. Class act, and an underrated fighter. Props to him
