Greetings OU and Magik.
I must say my heart was palpitating for all three rounds. Vintage Machida fight.

I'm cereal...I've seen Hendo's very first fight in the UFC mang in 98 all the way through the present. He's unKOable although I thought Machida could hurt em...plus with that right hand loaded he could END it anytime. People don't understand the dynamics of how fight works. Lyoto fought the way he always does and he landed some solid shots, but it simply didn't phase Hendo. Those same shots hurt Rashad, Bader, Tito, and Couture. If Machida hurt Hendo then everybody would have said it was a great fight.
I do agree it should have been the main event with five rounds then it really could have changed things. Hendo is extremely dangerous at all times. It's too bad cuz I wanted to see Hendo vs the LHW title holder. Now we get to see a rematch with Lyoto vs the title holder if he defends it against Chael. Now taking bets on that fight.

I'm a huge Hendo fan as well. Just after the first two rounds I knew Lyoto wasn't going to engage enough for Hendo to get off and it was obvious there was no way he could hurt Hendo. Overall I thought it was a very boring fight and it was the one I was most excited for. Hopefully we can see Hendo have a few more wars before he hangs em up.

Hendo is and will always be a sleeper in that he's a great fighter who just does his job and doesn't say much. With that kind of chin and power he poses a major threat for every second. That's what amazes me about Shogun. He's the only I can think of (Rampage) that withstood his full barrage and I remember they interviewed Hendo and he started talking to himself...wondering why he couldn't put out Shogun...haha. Anyways point is...anybody who engages is foolish. I thought Fedor would take it...but shiet...Hendo took it and dished it right back. Mind you one of the hardest hitting HWs in the history of the sport.
Machida had to use his movement to win. Hendo vs Glover would be interesting.
