Hughes posted on his website before the fight that he believed GSP had a 90% of winning the fight, just like almost every other person that watches MMA. When Serra beat GSP in the 1st ride via TKO im sure Hughes was just as shocked as everyone else.

I myself was laughing too, not because GSP got KO'd because he's a classy fighter and one of my favorites but because I was just so shocked the fight turned out that way. Even Dana White was chuckling and shaking his head when he entered the octagon to present Serra with the belt. Something im sure he never thought he would do.

I agree Matt Hughes is an asshole ! But what I respect even more is GSP's accept in defeat. He took full responsibility and din't blame it on anything but himself. I know now he will come back stronger than ever in his next fight!

Does anybody know if Thiago Alves is still suspended and or when he wil be back to fight again? In my opinion he should get the next shot

I dont think Koscheck should get the next shot and he wont anyway as his fight against Sanchez was boring even though he won he showed no real aggression and did next to nothing to win not exactly a crwod pleaser, more likely Hughes will fight Koscheck and the winner will fight the Champ, i think it would be a good buisness move to give BJ a shot as if he won look at all the money that would bring in.

Where are you seeing him listed at 170? GSP isn't "my boy"....Aoki is....See the sig? I prolly went a little far saying they aren't comparable, I was just talking about their tone or whatever. Looky:

Shinya: GSP:

Shinya's tall and skinny, I really don't understand how GSP can weigh the same as him. Shinya would sub him anyway regardless of size

Solomon keeps the fights exciting with his scissor-kicking, should we give him a title shot also?

KillerG has a little shameless behaviour in the past
I must say i am also impressed by GSP in the way he handeled the interview, a lot of fighters *ahem*Miletich Camp*ahem* will instantly say their sick or have an injury or blah blah. GSP said he got caught fair and square by a better man on the day. No excuses (no one comes into a UFC fight 100% ayway) no bull, no "he got lucky". GSP is the future, and a gentleman in the real term.

Serra is fun and i like to watch him/hear him especially in the TUF, his lines were classic and came across careing for his team. GSP is pure class and a great fighter.

I like either as a winner, as long as they aint boring

first of all, you cant compare solomon and karo. I mean cmon, karo is a contender, solomon is a joke thats not even right. Second, Karo can has a very good chance beating any welterweight right now, especially with a win over the current champ. Second, the reason why sanchez and kos fight was boring is because of sanchez. You cant blame kos for that fight, sanchez did absolutely nothing, and hughes doesnt deserve a shot either, he's a prick.

I was very suprised Sanchez didn't win, since he had been training his stand-up even more now, though I was hoping for a Kos win. Hughes, I can't blame him for smiling, we all know he can't beat GSP and as long as he was Champ, Hughes wasn't regaining the Title.

I can't wait until they fight again. Get over GSP.
