I wouldn't say i'm uncomfortable, well maybe a little, but it is definitely a bad idea. It's all about the ratings now though, integrity seems to mean less and less each season. |

It's the Machida-Rampage fight all over again. A guy wins one round, one round is debatable, and he's gets destroyed, but not completely overwhelmed in the third round.
I thought Voelker won round 2, but it WAS a close round. I thought round 3 was a 10-8, but you basically have to have a guy all but dead, and take no shots yourself, to get a 10-8 in the UFC.
Then 10 point must system is pretty good, but sometimes it craps on us.
Cote lost the fight, clearly, but maybem just maybe, him tecnically winning the decision is defensible.
Voelker definitely earned another UFC fight. |

I don't see how Cote could have been given the decision.
I wanted him to win, I was rooting for him to win, but I did not see him win.

I can see why Cote won. The third round wasn't a 10-8 round in my opinion, and I had Cote barely edging the first two. If we changed the scoring a little, then yeah, Voelker would be the winner since he won the only decisive round, but that's not how it works unfortunately. 29-28 for Cote, but I could have seen it going either way.
Good chins from both guys though. They were taking some heavy punches.

wasnt expecting cote to win that decision, but can see how he did
one of those fights where the judges value the hard and abundant strikes

It was a disgusting decision. 2&3 for Voelker.
I have never rated Cote, im convinced they gave it him because he's Canadian
