Serra is gonna beat Hughes.

Yea, he probably isn't as complete as someone like GSP (still the best IMO), but neither is Hughes. If these two go at it, what can Hughes do to defeat him? His only chance is to take Serra down and work from the top. But people forget that Serra is as good as anyone from the bottom. His standup is also better than Hughes (he has horrible form, and no proven knockout power). Most importantly, unlike some other guys, he has no fear or respect for Hughes. He is mentally focused.

My Prediction
Serra beats Hughes via Submission
GSP beats kos via TKO
GSP beat Serra via TKO or Ground n Pound

So many topics on this...but i wont complain.

Hughes will overpower Serra and pound him out by the 2nd or 3rd round in my opinion.

I totally agree, Serra has jj and very heavy hands. What's Hughes got other than a ground game? Defintely not knock out power.

Exactly, and if Serra trains on his wrestling/ takedown defense, to the point where he improves enough to almost hang with Hughes.......then the rest might be history.

I see the wounds aren't healing very fast for some GSP fans...

Matt Hughes is an MMA fighter I cannot stand. If he becomes three time UFC champion then his head will get bigger then ever. I mean his head will be so full of hot air he'll be floating up to the Earths atmosphere. Safe to say, I really want Matt Serra to win this fight.

But Matt Hughes does have the upper hand. The man's takedowns are pretty wicked and he has beaten some dangerous ground guys. As much as I want to say Serra will win, I get the feeling Hughes will be holding that title again.

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam
