Serras First Title Defense

I still think GSP should fight Hughes winner gets title shot. But alot of people disagree. Alot of people are saying Hughes vs Diego. Kos vs GSP. So lets say Hughes wins, and Gsp wins, which one of them gets a title shot then? Or if for some reason, Kos and Diego win, which one of them gets a shot? And while all this is happening what does Serra do. You cant just make him sit around waiting. So if all 4 of those guys are tied up, who should serra fight? Who else really deserves a shot more than those 4?

Thats the other reason I think the only logical way to do it is to have GSP fight Hughes. Then you cam throw Diego and Kos in the mix.

Listen Hughes is getting the next shot the debate is over. Everyone should just start planning for Hughes VS GSP #3 right now.

Yeah I say it should go like this:

UFC 74: Matt Serra VS Matt Hughes (UFC Welterweight Championship)
UFC 74: Georges St. Pierre VS Random Welterweight to beat.

UFC 77: Georges St. Pierre VS Diego Sanchez

UFC 78: Matt Hughes VS Josh Koscheck (UFC Welterweight Championship)

UFC 80: Georges St. Pierre VS Matt Serra 2

UFC 82: Josh Koscheck VS Diego Sanchez 2

UFC 84: Matt Hughes VS Georges St. Pierre 3 (UFC Welterweight Championship)

This is how I think it SHOULD go, I bolded who would assumedly win the fights. This way it gets Hughes the Welterweight Championship, builds up GSP 3 wins and confidence + his ranking in the UFC Welterweight ladder by beating Serra and Sanchez, also gets Hughes/GSP 3 fight underway.

Granted it wa an upset, but can you call it luck when Serra didn't just land one lucky shot? He won the stand up for the entire duration of the short fight.

Even if GSP beats him in a rematch, Serra didn't get lucky. He fought the perfect fight and was well prepared. He did what it took to win. If he continues the same way, The Terra may surprise a lot of people - me included.
