Diaz simply wants to make as much money as possible which means the biggest fights possible.

That's why he's interested in superfights with the LW or MW champ.

And there is nothing wrong with that.

The thing is that it's easy to say you want this or that when you aren't even the champ in your own weight class and you have nothing to lose.

When you get to the top though and you actually have something to lose it's waaaaayyyyy harder to take risks.

I like Nick and truly doubt that he's afraid of fighting anyone (ANYONE), but I can't say it's because he's actually capable of beating top contenders in LW, WW, and MW. For him, it may be delusion or wishful thinking - and I wish he could (would love to see him shut everyone's pie hole). Just don't see that happening.

You call it mentality. I call it delusion.

"If I had that option available to me, I would be honored to be in that position, and I would be gratefully accepting of that position or fight, if you will, with the 185-pound champion or the 155-pound champion," Diaz said. "I would take either fight, and I think I could beat either guy to win a title at both weights.
There is a better chance of him beating Federer in a game of tennis than him beating Anderson Silva.

Is this guy listening to what it is he is actually saying?
