just a thought that popped in my head; if I had the choice to move to either the US or Canada... I believe I would choose Canada.... Don't know a lick of French though.

Quebec can be bad as an english speaker. some cities like montreal have a huge english base, but elsewhere it feels like they go out of their way not to help you if you can't speak french. cops in quebec like to pull over outsiders too.

I got badly lost in Quebec once and pulled into a Tim Horton's to ask for help. People more or less refused to help me until I basically lost my shit and called them all out as English speaking Quebecers having a laugh. Sometimes if you want a douchebag's attention, you have to be a douchebag yourself.
