You're spinning reality to suit your own devices. Silva fans excused and continue to excuse Anderson's performance by blaming Leites for continuously flopping and Maia for being too scared to engage. Any time someone raises those performances today, that's precisely the response most Silva fans counter with.

As for GSP's performance against Dan Hardy, I've not seen one GSP fan raise that as one of his best. In fact, most people have proclaimed it to be his worst performance to date, including his own fans. The flack GSP is given over the Hardy and Shields fights stems from his own fan base as well, and rightfully so. They were not his best performances (keeping in mind Shields eye gouged him twice).

Literally no one has ever said, 'GSP is great because he decisioned Dan Hardy'. Everyone knows he ought to have finished that fight, and most fans point to it as his worst. So nice try.

Maybe GSP can predict when he is going to finish a fight next instead of predicting a guy coming off a year layoff finishing the pound for pound number 1 fighter in the world.
This proves my point entirely. You're knocking the man and belittling his accomplishments because he predicted that his friend and occasional training partner will defeat Anderson Silva. I feel badly for any fan who is that petty or easily offended.

I've only ever seen him offer a prediction for Sonnen vs. Silva II. He basically said that if Chael could avoid Anderson's striking while shooting in for takedowns, then he had a good chance at winning. Though that's not really a firm 'Chael will win' either.

ps anderson didnt ask or want the wideman fight ufc forced his hand
GSP forced his hand by ducking Anderson and then he ducked the number one contender in his division to fight a guy he is a bad matchup for who has been out year.

In terms of rabid fanboys

Greasy Georges > Fedor >>>>>> Anderson

Anderson doesn't even have that many diehard fans. There's like 4. The rest are just neutral and find Greasy's comments to be retarded.

I remember back when I stated the fact that GSP used grease in the BJ Penn fight I got 12 neg reps.

12.

GSP is desperately hoping someone else derails Silva so people will stop calling for their fight... I can't say I blame him.

I totally agree with this statement.I like and respect GSP but the following are true.

GSP fans are so biased it's crazy. Name another champ that could get away with greasing, ducking Anderson Silva (while stating they want to be the P4P best in the world). Then calling out Nick Diaz after a loss like it's OK ( F U Johnny). On top of all this, he hasn't stopped a fight since January of 2009.

Now can u Imagine If Silva or Jon Jones had all this on their resume...Good lord the hate would be insane....

GSP said his friend would win. Not only his friend but a fellow wrestler prodigy with a similar style.

No GSP isn't afraid of Silva OR Hendricks. GSP wanted to fight Nick (who most of you said was the harder opponent until the fight was actually booked) because:

A. Nick trash talked GSP to his face behind closed doors and he feels disrespected

B. He thought Hendricks lost to Koscheck - I do too actually - and he's decimated Koscheck twice.

I really thought the Koscheck fight would have derailed Hendricks a little more. Koscheck really was mailing it in and still almost beat him.

IMO Maia is the new top contender. The guy would clearly beat Fitch 10/10 whereas the Hendricks fight could have been a fluke.

But who cares, we're all seeing great fights this year so let's all calm down. I think Weidman vs. Silva is a cool interesting matchup. GSP vs. Diaz, the hype alone has most people hooked. Hendricks vs. Condit should be great too.
