Gsp: Weidman will finish Silva

Quote:
"My friend Chris Weidman, when I see him in training, I believe he's going to beat Anderson Silva. I believe it's a bad matchup for Anderson Silva. It's very bad. Not only is he going to beat, I believe heís going to finish Anderson Silva. I believe it's not going to be too long, that fight. People will be shocked.

Anderson Silva is smart because Chris Weidman, he come back from an injury, a long layoff, so itís the time to fight him right now. It's going to be the best time to fight Chris Weidman right now, so Chris needs to be sure he needs to get very well-prepared for this fight."

Does he want to give a prediction that he will actually finish a guy?

Or is that too risky?

GSP is already trying to build in his excuse in the second part there. It's not like Silva has been fighting recently, especially at MW.

GSP is a raging idiot. Anderson didn't even call for this fight....So how did he try to get him coming off injury? Weidman cried for this shot. Anderson finally took it because all bigger named MWs got beat and GSP was too afraid to do a catchweight. So Weidman it is. Not that Weidman isn't a good opponent, but Anderson hardly took it because Weidman is coming off injury.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he say similar things regarding Silva x Sonnen?

Very true. Pretty hypocritical of GSP. I don't think he was bashing ANderson, but he was implying he took the fight because Weidman has been out.

Yet he picks a fight with a guy out a year, coming off a loss, with no wrestling. Rather than a wrestler who has been KOing everyone.

GSP is goofy and mad.

Yes he did... He said Sonnen would beat him and most likely finish him. He said Sonnen is a bad match up for Silva. I LOL when hearing GSP in this interview, it was almost the exact same thing.

GSP:" Weidman will finish Anderson Silva"

Georges is hoping and praying that Chris beats Anderson so he isn't pressured into a fight with Silva. Georges thought that Condit head kick was something, Anderson would have him waking up asking, 'What happened? Were you impressed with my performance?'.

JDS
Hunt
Overeem
Hendo
Machida
Anderson Silva
Condit
Edgar
