I haven't seen anything from DC that shows that he will be the next champion. He beat Barnett who as I just said isn't a win that makes me think anything other than DC is a good fighter (not great, good), his win over Dion Staring was okay, he didn't impress against a guy who is an awful fighter, I mean Dion just got knocked out by freaking McSweeney in like a minute or something in the first round.

Really DC's only impressive win was over Bigfoot, which is all well and good, but doesn't show to me that he's going to be the next champion, it just shows he's a good fighter.

His fight with Mir will say a lot, or his next fights with other top HW's, I need to see more from him before I start claiming next champion.
I've had the same feeling. DC is all potential still, imho. I don't think you've proven anything relative to how well you'll do in the UFC until you've proven it against top UFC level talent. Lombard went from killer to okay, Shield's went from unstoppable to average/below average, Bigfoot's in the mix because the HW division is about ankle deep. I like DC and I'll root for him no matter what division he ends up in, but I'm not 100% sold on him as an inevitable champ of any division.

None of them will ever have gold. Out of everyone on the list Cormier has the best chance, but I really don't believe he is as well rounded as Cain, especially in the cardio department (this is also ignoring the plan for Cormier to drop down to 205 of course, and that Cain remains champ, which I think he will). If Cormier does drop to 205 I don't see him being able to handle Jones. Jones is the faster, younger, more well rounded, and bigger fighter. Jones' reach alone would pose huge problems for Cormier imo.

What about a young gun like Jordan Mein(23 years old)? Saffiedine is only 26 and full of potential.

If Cain loses, I could see DC taking the heavyweight title.

Jacare. I'm confident he could beat everyone in the top 10 outside of Okami and Belfort. By the time he actually earns a shot Silva might be past it or retired.

I was gonna say Cormier but realistically I don't see him ever holding a belt. He doesn't want to fight Cain and he'll never make the cut to 205. How's he supposed to get a belt? His best chance is for JDS to win the belt back which isn't looking likely after his last performance.

Will make predictions for credits. Please, I'm so broke.

DC and AO! The twist is that DC will challenge for the belt at 205.

Maximus: For the glory of the Empire, sire.

Out of that list, Daniel Cormier has the best chance.

I like Gilbert Melendez, but I don't think he'll beat Ben Henderson.
