If such competition between transgender and born-female athletes is legalized and legitimized then, this is a statistical inevitability. As more and more trans fighters join the sport, all other things being the same, it is inevitable that one of them will eventually become champ.

This is without even considering the possibility that all other things will most likely NOT be the same, and most likely transgender fighters will continue to have physical advantages over born female fighters even after lowering testosterone and receiving a few female hormones. In such a case, a trans fighter becoming champ has even higher likely hood and will happen sooner rather than later.

So while your position is admirable, this really is a case of one or the other, there is no middle ground.
Point taken, I guess I never really thought about the title picture because my own views were so muddled. I was thinking rejecting the fight in the tournament for safety reasons but the title fights in my mind were being turned down for another reason entirely, and that's my own bias leaking through the logic of it all. Clearly I need to do some more thinking on the subject though I maintain my position when it comes to the effects of HRT on a body.

You make it sound like there's thousands of transgender fighters out there.

Honey, I don't really pay attention to Liza's posts anymore, so missed bolded parts will continue.

I am so not bashing anybody here. I'm simply saying that I can see Tate's line of reasoning here. I get along really well with a lot of gay guys, and some are even quite hot, but things are different in the fight world. That is all I am saying on this topic.

It's a unique situation, but if Fox is cleared to fight, then it could open the doors for more Transgender WMMA fighters. Then THAT would be interesting for commissions to monitor.

MMA has a benefit here of being relatively young sport in terms of when mediating began, so they have boxing's layout in this situation to use as a rough guideline.

I'm fairly certain there is, I believe someone even posted it in one of the failed Fallon Fox threads as well, if I wasn't on my phone I might have better luck finding it haha

According to most people on this forum, men are the same as women anyway so who cares? They should fight each other since there's no difference between a man and a woman apparently.

Good for Tate.

Barao should get a sex change and fight Rousey.
