Royce vs Shamrock
Royce vs. Severn

Just unbeliavable and incredible for the level of confidence and also courage on trying to prove to the world (and yourself) what a skinny fellow with amazing technique could do against monsters, in their backyard.
That was the start of UFC and that was impressive.

I have to say some of The Spiders more lopsided fights have to be the most impressive, and my most favourite.

Whenever I want to show noobs what MMA is really all about I sit them down and explain that I am going to show them a fight where the current LHW champ is going to defend his title against a former champ, the winner of TUF, a fighter who is recognized as putting UFC on the map in one of the greatest fights of all times ... so the champ is not fighting some can off the street, this is a guy who would stand a decent change against any other fighter in the world ... now, sit back and watch the magic of The Spider.

Lopsided or not, that had to be the greatest, and most unmistakable display of fighting prowess ever witnessed in the history of fighting.

I think Forrest had a huge part to play in making AS look good in that fight...

But yet he didn't look that goofy or anything close in Shogun 1 and Rampage. Beating them. But those don't count. But for Bones Jones they are a part of his "super run of world class LHWs". It is odd how that all works.

Obviously so many great ones to choose from, but this is one of my favorite examples of a fight going a complete 180 that was interesting start to finish.
This is one of the greatest fights ever recorded. No matter how many times I've seen it, I still go crazy when Hughes carries Trigg across the octagon.

I have always said Hughes and Trigg 2 I'm glad so many agree. Hell of a fight. Diaz/Sanchez, and Karo/Sanchez are up there as well for me. Those are the ones that stick in my mind atm, hard to choose one.

This has been my favorite for 6 years even with all the other great fights in the meantime or earlier that I caught up on, don't know if it'll ever be replaced...
