If I'm Dana, I stall on this too. I think two years is about right. Quietly let every gym know this is coming, when it's coming, and give the guys who are dirty time to get clean. And lose. And exit the UFC without disgrace. No because it's owed to them, but why damage his own brand?

That said, this promotion has busted it's own heavyweight champion more than once. They certainly aren't avoiding busting their fighters for drugs. Thia isn't baseball hiding it's head in the sand for 25 years.

I agree. It sounds too good to be true, and VADA is following the Roy Nelson route of throwing it out there in public to try and get pressure.

Side Note: I am all for VADA testing, I just work in an industry where this is exactly our tactic. Buy our stuff, we'll waive X fee. Oh, you didn't know that you will use our service 6 times more than normal and we charge you for each one? Oh well, please pay.

It is fairly ridiculous to make the UFC pay for this though. The government makes a big deal out of the sport needing them to regulate this sport but then refuses to foot the bill to do a proper job and employs incompetent judges based on cronyism. The sport would be better off if the UFC had the right to regulate itself at this point.

To be fair, the commissions are horribly underfunded.
