Ufc on Fox 8, back to Seattle!! July 27, 2013

The Ufc is making a trip back to Seattle, rewarding the hungry fans with a fight card 8 months after Decembers all-star card..

Look for this to be headlined by the 125 title fight (Mighty mouse is from Seattle) and I'm sure Rory will be on the main card as well,

Giddy-up

"The date has been in place for a while, and now UFC on FOX 8 has a location.

The UFC this summer will head to Seattle for the third time when it brings a nationally televised card to KeyArena. The Seattle Times on Friday brought word of the event, citing the UFC.

UFC on FOX 8 takes place July 27 with what is expected to be a four-fight main card on FOX following prelims on FX and Facebook. No fights have yet been announced for the card.

The UFC most recently visited Seattle in December for UFC on FOX 5, which featured a main event lightweight title fight between champion Benson Henderson, a Washington native, and challenger Nate Diaz. Henderson dominated the fight and won by unanimous decision. Prior to that, the UFC was at KeyArena in March 2011 for a UFC "Fight Night" event.

Both of those shows were sellouts, with December's event doing a gate in excess of $1.5 million.

The UFC hosts nationally televised shows on FOX once each quarter. For the first quarter of 2013, UFC on FOX 6 took place at Chicago's United Center. Next month, UFC on FOX 7 takes place at HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.

And though a location has not yet been announced, the UFC and FOX already have set aside Dec. 14 for its fourth quarter card, UFC on FOX 9.

The UFC has no shortage of fighters from the Pacific Northwest, including flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, who was supposed to headline the TUF 17 Finale next month before falling off with an injury. The timetable could be right for him to return in late July against top contender John Moraga. Johnson in January headlined the UFC on FOX 6 card with a win over John Dodson."

Yea Mighty Mouse said he wants to be on that card. Interested to see who Rory gets. They will probably have another top shelf fight in between those fights.

It's so funny how much they try to avoid putting Bantamweight and Flyweight title fights on PPV, since they know nobody wants to pay for that ish. I'm sure Rogan is pumped, since weed is legalized in Washington now.

As someone who will likely attend this event again, I would rather see Bendo face the winner of Maynard/Grant as the headliner but its wishful thinking to see both winners come out of April 20 healthy to fight 3 months later...

I could still see Rory (if he is healthy) getting Condit or Ellenberger or Maia (jake vs Maia should happen too)

Names of note without a fight:
HW-
Overeem

LHW-
Bader

MW-
Okami

WW-
MacDonald
Ellenberger
Maia
Saffiedine
Lawler
Kampmann
Koscheck

LW-
Lauzon

the last few fox cards have been stacked...this should be no different

Fox 4-

Rua vs Vera
Machida vs Bader
Lauzon vs Varner
Swick vs Johson

Undercard highlights: Phil Davis

Fox 5-

Henderson vs Diaz (155 title)
Gustafsson vs Rua
MacDonald vs Penn
Brown vs Swick

Undercard Highlights: Edwards v Stephens, Assuncao v Easton, Cruikshank, Siver, Jorgensen

Fox 6-

Johnson vs Dodson (125 title)
Teixeira vs Jackson
Pettis vs Cerrone
Lamas vs Koch

Undercard highlights: Grant v Wiman, Guida v Hioki, Bader

Fox 7-

Henderson vs Melendez (155 title)
