Bader, Wandy, and Thiago Silva all gave him worse beatings then Mousasi as well.

Was that in between him cheating against Jardine and Jardine taking him down at will? Oh wait Jardine has been beaten far, far worse. As other posters have already made a list of people who have beaten Jardine into living death.

And Gegard did nothing to Mo. He couldn't defend a takedown, sweep, or even seriously attempt a submission. Lying on your back throwing weak strikes against the man humping you doesn't exactly work to win fights.

So where should any of us be impressed?

Who beat up Jardine and Mo worse than this?

These decisions were wrong, plain and simple.

They had to wake him up and explain to him that he just got his ass kicked in those other fights listed. Id say those qualify as worse beatings.

Everyone who left them unconscious in the cage. A concussion is worse than swelling.

No they weren't. In both he got taken down at will. He literally did nothing besides slap at Mo from off his back which does not earn you points or win you fights. And he would have beaten Jardine if he hadn't decided to use an illegal technique after getting frustrated from getting wrestle****ed.

Your boy just isn't that good. He didn't deserve to win either fight and he didn't. Nothing he has done in mma should make anyone think that he belongs in the UFC much less facing a top 5 light heavyweight.

Gus has a solid chin, and technically average everywhere else... otherwise is unimpressive.. mousasi ftw

Head-butting fists and KOing the air is not effective striking.

Historically, notable fighters debuting in the UFC look like shit and do poorly; even when they win which is a rarity on such occasions.

Its hard to go with Mousasi with this in mind. Gustafsson has been fighting top competition, consistently. I even think he takes Mousasi down. I mean, I like Mousasi better, but he is going to get beat with hard work and simple technique.
