why everyone says werdum has better JJ than frank mir?
i mean sure fabricio werdum is great jj specialist, but imo frank mir is the better mma jj specialist. This list below me will back my statement.
-Frank Mir has more submission W than werdum.
-Frank Mir holds a deadlier arsenal of submissions.
-Frank Mir has subbed better quality opponents.
-Frank Mir has most W by sub in UFC HW division history.
-Frank has first and only toe hold finish in UFC history.
-Frank Mir holds the fastest sub in UFC HW division history.
these aren't just opinions, these are cold hard facts in the ufc record books. Werdums, while impressive grappling credentials they simply dont stack up to what Mir has accoplished with his JJ in MMA, thus making frank mir the best JJ specialist in HW division history.
discuss?

Probably because they don't look at the UFC books only.

Werdum is 100x more accomplished in BJJ then Mir could ever dream to be. That's why.

It relates to Werdum's success in the grappling and bjj world. Werdum is on a different planet then Mir when you look at things from that perspective.

but i was talking about MMA jj accomplishments just look at the facts and statistics. Frank mir has finished fights with a wide variety of submission holds and locks. numbers dont lie and werdums creds dont stack up to Mirs.

The question is valid; your abilities in BJJ competitions don't directly transfer to MMA much like amateur wrestling. We don't really have a way to measure who is better at implementing BJJ in MMA.

Look at what Werdum has done in JUJITSU then look at what Mir has done. You're comparing their MMA careers.
Also, Brock easily handled Mir in the rematch, when Brock didn't get amped up he dug in that ass and did whatever he damn well wanted to with him. Where was Mir's jujitsu then?

Far more factors then just "notable MMA wins".
