I think a lot of people like Nick Diaz.

He gets more threads than any other UFC fighter.

UFC would be crazy to release a guy like that.

3) Chael Sonnen is fighting Jon Jones because everyone's favourites - Lyoto and Shogun - refused to. It's hilarious how many people forget that others were offered the fight with Jones long before Dana called up Sonnen.

3) When Chael Sonnen loses, he congratulates his opponent and moves onto the next challenge.

There is no comparison between Chael and Diaz. Chael strategizes, whereas Nick gets creamed for 5 rounds and then says, 'I still think I can beat you'. Nick's best bet, and I say this as a big fan, would be to take that rematch with Carlos, win, and then call out GSP. I doubt very much that anyone actually wants to see him and St. Pierre go at it again right now.

It's amazing how much clearer and focused Nate's mindset is. He gets a 5 round arse kicking from Henderson, and how does he handle it? He moves onto the next fight in an attempt to reestablish his name. There's a novel concept.
Sorry I just had to laugh at this one that's all.

Jon Fitch must have been getting 10-8s all this time.

Also Shogun and Machida refused to fight on 1 weeks notice, not this cushy 6 months later after a full camp straight from another weight class coming off a loss bs.

I think Nick was very rusty and could put up a much better fight then last time.

Also Condit and GSP were both rusty in their fight and a rematch would be closer IMO. I also think if Condit fought every round like he was down big on the cards he could actually beat GSP. If he(Condit) fought like he had to get the finish every round I think he would win.

Hilarious. The funniest part is that I didn't pull that score out of my arse. I recently happened across an article that stated that 2 of the 3 judges scored it a 10-8 for Sonnen. I'll try and dig up the link.

Hooray for playing with the facts to suit one's own devices! Shogun and Machida refused to fight Jon Jones on 1 week's notice. Fair play. But Chael Sonnen offered to fight Jon Jones and save an entire card on 1 week's notice, and he would have had Jones not refused. I guess there are 'fighters', and then there are fighters.

Styles make fights, Diaz cant wrestle and that is GSP's strongest asset. GSP beats Diaz 10 out 10 times.

Yes please do, it'd be interesting to read considering judges don't generally release scorecards for fights that get stopped. It seems google isn't indexing this mythical article, it's probably sitting behind FBI firewalls somewhere .
