GSP will land a few jabs... on the top of the head of Maia, while he is driving for GSP's leg. Maia is back to what Maia does best and better than anyone. Jiu Jitsu. To train more striking to face GSP would be a waste of time, as there's no way he would impose any threat standing.
Given the highest level Jiu Jitsu plus the impressive winstreak at 170 by Maia vs the best wrestling in MMA and UFC dominance by GSP, I think this bout is nothing short of superfight level and that must happen ASAP.

Sure his career could have been more entertaining, but do you really think he cares more about entertaining us, or going down as the most successful UFC fighter of all time?

Most successful? Maybe. Best Fighter of all time? Nope.

Yeah it kind of sucks, but it is what it is. I think GSP is great, fights safe, fights uninteresting, is phony, etc. But do I still go out of my way to watch his fights? Yup.

lol at anyone saying Maia's standup is good. You can't get more mechanical, predictable or ineffective then Maia's standup. I would suggest he stick to his amazing BJJ game because that's his only shot at beating any of the top WW fighters.

Yeah if Maia's standup is "good" then Matt Hughes standup must be "world class".

My siggy seems to keep changing so just to clarify I mean Anderson Silva. I do not think Leonardo Dicaprio is the greatest fighter of all time...

I had that problem before but when I went to change my sig back it had the correct one in there and all I had to do was click "save" again. Weird.
