Literally doing that would mean he'd put his money directly onto his mouth.

Will make predictions for credits. Please, I'm so broke.

I dig the balls, but it's not a huge gamble for him. He's a beast and will be the future MW champ, just not now. There's going to be a big build up, lots of press, and Anderson is going to do his thing.

Chris will still get a nice contract after the fight, and if he looks good it will be even fatter.

"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man."

I find it hilarious how much of a chance people are giving Weidman.

I don't see the fun in giving contender after contender 'no chance'. So people want to believe that someone might actually pose a threat to a seemingly unstoppable champion - what's so wrong with that? Sonnen vs. Silva I was a classic for a reason.

Weidman is going to come out very strong perhaps even putting Anderson in danger. If Anderson doesn't counter right away it may be his plan to take him on at his full strength then "weather the storm." The latter rounds will be the true test of Weidmans will. This isn't about The Spider. He has nothing to prove. It's about Weidman whether he's got what it takes. I say he does, but he's also a fairly green fighter who doesn't know what it feels like to lose by Decision, Submission, DQ, or KO yet. That's why he's got so much confidence.

I like his youthful exuberance. But age and experience overcomes youth and preparation.

This will be a very interesting battle.

Maximus: For the glory of the Empire, sire.

Baked, not fried... the healthy choice.

I don't see why Chris gets so much flak for essentially saying, 'I'm going to beat Anderson'. He hasn't reached anywhere near the level of Chael's smack talk.
Does Anderson not have confidence? Does he go out there and talk about what he is going to do in a fight and about a rematch a half year before the fight is scheduled?

See the difference? You probably don't.

So..., he's planning on negotiating for more money if he wins. So..., when he loses, is he gonna take a pay cut?

This isn't Sonnen's childish trash talk or Leites / Cote type delusional and pretend confidence.

This is an undefeated guy who has steamrolled the division, very confident with good reason, but without feeling the insecurity to trash talk. That is the most dangerous type, not the Phil Baronis and Chael Sonnens of the world, but the quietly confident work horse waiting for his moment.

It's going to be a war. Whether or not Weidman actually wins (and I wouldn't be too surprised if he did), I think this'll be Silva's toughest test.

Actually, he does. Quite often.

'I breaka you face, mang! I breaka you face!'

Anderson talked down about Maia, Vitor, and Sonnen (though we'll call that provocation) long before he stepped into the cage with any of them. And I'm fairly certain he says, 'I going to knock out him' in every pre-fight interview. I wouldn't put Anderson the level of Sonnen, or even Weidman, but to act as though Silva never utters a peep is incorrect. In fact, I'd be riled up were I Chris purely because Silva may as well have said, 'Who is this bum?' before Dana paid him enough money to take the fight.

You Silva fanboys... oy
