I read an article on mma fighting that said this was the 4th time in UFC history where both guys in the main event are debuting...but i dont remember if it said what were the other 3 times...and i just remember the rousey fight...

I believe this nails the answer to my question

Note that the Escudero vs. Nover and Nelson vs. Schaub were tuf finals, and the 3rd was women's first fight in UFC.
Meaning this was the first non-tuf main-event when both fighters debuted.
