I hadn't really thought of that, it's a good point. I retract the latter part of that post.

It is interesting to me that the UFC doesn't insure accurate stats on their site. It may only be height, but it really makes a person wonder.

As I posted they actually do have accurate stats on their site. For some reason they are using different info at the event though. Is it a production issue, are they measured by the local commission, bloating stats? It is hard to say and honestly doesn't bug me that much.

I'm not really bothered by it either, I just wanted to contribute more than the pandemonium comment lol

Every man in the world lies about height. For licenses they just ask you your height, not like they measure it. And guess what? Everyone states 1"-3" taller than they are. I had a friend who was 6'1" in shoes and had 6'4" on his drivers license. No idea why by heightism is a big thing in the male universe.

not me.... I'm a short asshole, so there's no point saying that I'm 6'0 when I'm only 5'8.

I understand this is a pretty silly thing to get worked up about but i do think its irritating, just because i dont understand whats so hard about saying their true height? Seriously...why go to the trouble to lie? =s...and it sucks that you cant use heights to analyse fights -.-

One problem is that the taller you get, the smaller a percentage of total height an inch or few cm is, and people's heights vary by some percent due to spinal contraction throughout the day. As an adult I've been measured at 6'1" and 6'2" by medical personnel at various times. My brother 6'4" to 6'6". These measurements were all accurate at the time they were taken, although I'm sure rounding took place as well. So while I usually tell people I'm 6'2", by the time I'm heading to be at night, depending on what I've been doing, I might be more like 6'1".

Everybody good, plenty of slaves for my robot colony?

But then on the main event, as soon as I saw Anderson Silvas height listed at 6'1 1/2 when he's CLEARLY 6'2, I was so furious, I punched a hole in my 70'' TV, threw it out the window and watched it fall to the ground!!! I payed 45 bucks to see this event, and while the fights delivered, if they're gonna get the FRIGGIN HIEGHTS WRONG I WILL.NEVER UFC EVER AGAIN!!!
I bet your tv is actually 46"

I don't really care at all, but at the same time the info should be accurate IMO. Principles and all that.
